ECU module programming guide using FDRS

Just curious your opinion.....
Let's say that you have an otherwise perfectly performing 2022..... Why do I want/need this bad enough to license up? (It's NOT the license co$t. Dinner every night of my life cost more than a 3 days FDRS)

Seems to be OTA bound anyway?

FDRS can't be activate in a virtual machine running windows.

Updated all modules with FDRS

PSCM isn’t showing up, assuming that’s because I have adaptive steering?

PCM updated but still shows an update available but it doesn’t do anything.

Also have one DTC on the OCSM U024 : 00 : 28.

Anyone have any advice?

The PCM may just take a few hours or a day to disappear after you apply it.

In your FDRS you have a PSCM? Mine is greyed out.


That’s what I figured on the PCM just wanted to be sure. Guessing I’m good unless Jesse says otherwise, still not sure on DTC though.

I had one which updated as part of a bundle, it was greyed out at one point but everything was green after I completed all the updates. I did have some occasional orange areas on the DSM and TCM which resolved after updates.

My truck has been at the dealership for a week now. They’ve gone as far as replacing my USB port. They’re just refusing to admit the APIM could be bad.

Apparently a Field Service Engineer was at the dealership today and told him to stop diagnosing because he’s seen this issue in several trucks. They are also awaiting a call back from the Hotline. He said if the hotline doesn’t give them any direction, they’ll be giving me the truck back as-is.

Ford has some catching up to do on this whole technology thing.

I may take you up on that if you think you can get somewhere with it.

Looks like you failed during validation. Did you leave the USB in the truck while trying to validate?

The update installed. You need to runa PMI. when asked if original module is installed select no.

The new config didnt load. You need to have the new AS build load
