It was low this morning and the GWM wouldn't begin because the voltage was low. I hooked up my charger | power-supply and it worked.
It's been connected since.

I just pulled the update and let it fail and restarted the GWM and APIM and I'm trying again

I'm going to add to the doc to make sure battery is charged before attempting updates...

I had success with the GWM but doing it via CANBUS, APIM now in progress so let's see how that goes. Too bad the VCM2 is no longer available...

Sorry, should've been more specific - mine is a good quality VCM2 clone and not the real deal.

Ok, my APIM update was smooth via USB and I now have the handsfree now showing in Sync.

Update: Fordpass just notified me that my BlueCruise feature is now ready!

Quick note on the “Restart” time when doing the APIM and GWM updates. I’ve had great luck with having the drivers door open, vehicle off and waiting for all interior lights including the USB lights to turn off. Then doing a KOEO to complete the update.

Edit: when doing your APIM if the front controls lighting is flashing intermittently then you have to continue to wait until the flashing stops.

My 2 cents.

No, mine just started working. I checked the ford website and I am still "waiting on activation" but eveything works.
