ECU module programming guide using FDRS

Yeah about 3 months ago an initial BCM update that came out fried the LED module on the left headlight. They fixed the update after a few weeks but it damaged a lot of LED modules for the LED Headlight trucks.

Guess I got lucky.
Did my updates last weekend of April and I'm LED all around.
Did Ford fix it for you?

The part was only $125 (back then) so I just did it myself. Also at the time it was taking a month to get into the dealer due to lack of workers. Seattle area. Now days its down to about a week.

tried to update my CCM and it failed for some odd reason. Now I have a pre collision assist not available and I can’t finish the update it gives me this issue, I tried running PMI like it says but it detects the same cruise control part. Not sure what to do…

lol I guess thats not the proper one, thankfully I did order the Mongoose one as well, it just came in this afternoon, would using that one work better ? What should I run to fix my issue ?

You aren't the only one to cripple a CCM with a nano, only to rescue it with a Mongoose. ?

So don't feel too bad.

I just logged into FDRS and see a new BCM update. Anyone have any info on this one? I have a '21 XLT 5.0l 302a with up to date FDRS packages.

Be careful. A previous BCM update bricked a few trucks, including mine.
