Sounds like you might have messed up the sequence. It’s easy to do. When you are prompted to restart the truck, you don’t restart it right away. Leave the flash drive in place, turn off the ignition, open and close the door and walk away from the truck for 20-30 minutes. Don’t approach the truck with the transponder in your pocket during this time. Check on the truck every once in a while by looking in the back window to see if the LED halo around the rear seat USB ports has gone out. When it has, it’s time to restart the truck. When the Sync system reboots, you should then be prompted to remove the USB drive and transfer it to your laptop.

Not necessary to wait 20-30 minutes. I haven't done that for any of the recent USB updates.

No sir, still showing as activation pending on Connected Services page and I can't find a trace of Alexa in Sync anywhere.

Also I saw your Gateway was delivered OTA. ABD79 had an issue where his Gateway update did not update the config. Your Online as build shows the correct as build update showing but we need to confirm the actual config loaded into the gateway. This is part of the alexa update.

If you can send me the Gateway File from forscan. Save all and send me the file or you cna post a screen shot of the 24-01 through 27-01 section I can tell right away if it has the updated as build config.

I also checked my Asbuilt data for the GWM from the end of sept to yesterday, they are different so something was updated but maybe not all of it?

Let me know if this works. I may have a similar issue. I did notice in Forscan under the APIM, there is a toggle to enable Amazon Alexa. It shows disabled currently. Wondering if it’s as simple as enabling that?

Not to rain on the parade, but I find the updated graphics/rendering engine to be just incrementally better - not as mind blowing as some are suggesting. ?‍


It's noticeable for sure - the fonts are smoother and overall just cleaner looking. But hopefully now downsides.

I also noticed that the latest Sync 4 update fixes the issue with CarPlay audio playback being choppy in some cases.

It did change.. And it didnt change online. But what I am seeing in the gateway doenst look correct. You are missing a few changes at minimum. Let me look some more but it did convert not fully though.

Subjective, admittedly
There are some who were stunned the first time 720P was viewed on a television screen. While others felt it didn't even come close to warranting a $4000 investment in viewing pleasure.

I'm old enough to have witnessed the entry of color television into the family living room. All these decades later I am one who's wired to be ocularly sensitive?

So for me there's nothing subtle about the upgrade visually on the Sync screen. In fact, with my eyesight of an old man the crispness of text rendered on the screen is fantastic! My eyes seem to see through 30 years younger lenses.
