Are there minimum computer requirements for FDRS? I’m a Mac guy and just purchased this cheap laptop from Best Buy to use with forscan: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/asus-1...star-black-star-black/6498806.p?skuId=6498806

Will this basic laptop handle the FDRS and all the updates etc? Or should I return it for a better unit? My Mac’s are desktops otherwise I would use windows on the Mac.

As long as it isn't an ARM processor and running full Windows, I think any currently available new PC will work. May be a little slow opening FDRS, but it should be ok otherwise. The download page for the software does have some minimum specs listed.

EDIT: Also, make sure you have at least one USB-A port, preferably 2

ther may be apim after I don’t know but this update unifies the 21 and 2022 FINALLY on the same gateway software


Edit.. No APIM We may be getting closer than I thought though because my testing for 22228 which is the strechable CarPlay required HKC gateway to work right. SO patience may pay off here.

I installed the gateway update tonight on my 21, Job 2. No issues to report!

Yes. 3.5.2 is the gateway update that got pushed to the 2022 and is now being pushed to all.

Very interesting, it matches the terminology from the doc they originally submitted but the version numbers changed, that's consistent with a few people's theories of how they are numbering these updates

I have Alexa working in my Job 1. I didnt think it would be anything I would use and I was wrong. its so fluid and nice. I can easily add a destination.. check weather. Its really nice. So Im sure its coming soon.
