While my truck was in the shop for a different issue I mentioned to the service manager that the left tip was wonky. They got it straight and centered so it looks good enough, but the note on the service report indicated that it was too far out to correct by just loosening the bolts, and a replacement bracket was not readily available, so they bent the bracket to make it work. Upon close inspection the drain hole on the bottom of the tip is about half an inch from bottom dead center. Not ideal but hey it looks better than before. It is apparent from the tool marks on the bolts and the inside of the tip that the broomstick method was used.
