DRL Recall Issue

I just took my 2022 F150 Lariat in for the rear axle and DRL recalls. When I got the truck back I am now getting a "Check Headlamp Sysytem" error on the instrument cluster display. I took it back to the dealer and they have now had it for 5 days saying they cannot figure out why this error is coming up. Prior to the update I had absolutely no issues with this. Anyone else experience an issue after the DRL recall update? Oh, they are saying it may be because I have the Fox 2.0 leveling kit on the truck.....

I had a 23 Tremor do that, we had -40 cold up here on Canada when that happened, the cause was the little electric motor that turns the yoke for the adaptive headlights failed, the fix was a new headlight under warranty thank God.

Is there a recall? I'd be thrilled if there is. My poor headlights look like this (2021 job 1 XLT). I watched a video on Youtube of a guy that cut open his headlight (it was a PITA!) and found the LED emitter was still functioning but had got hot enough to scorch the plastic light tube and turn it black. Seems to be what happened to mine, from the colors / dimming.

Remember the good old, old school halogen bulbs you could change out yourself for a few dollars. Yup, just twist and pull and push and twist and your done. Now it’s $$$$ and replace the whole front end.

At least it's not like BMW where the headlight assembly gets replaced but won't function until the car is hooked up to a diag machine and programmed to work with that new module.

Was the recall released for everyone or are they just replacing lights on effected vehicles? I never recieved any recall notice. I also Do Not have this problem at the moment.

That recall was for flickering parking lamps, not the burned out DRL issue the projector led lights have. 24C30/24V682

And only seems to be just a short window on 2022 models.

I got the lighting add on with the Premium Care ESP thankfully. Both of mine burned out within like 2 weeks of each other about 6 months after the factory 3 year warranty ended. Would have cost me 4 grand without the warranty. The warranty was only a little more than half that much.

I guess let me qualify: thats what the dealer would have charged. I think the parts were 1599 and 1799 plus labor/tax. Im sure you could save a ton hunting some down and doing it yourself, but with new oem units I bet it would still have been more than I paid for the ESP.
