Here are three pictures of the drivers side door. Let me know if you need these from a different angle.

Oh. My door doesn’t stick out like that. It’s more vertically off a tiny bit. When I go over small bumps I can hear the weatherstripping rub near my ear and a wind flutter coming in by my door striker maybe. And a small wind whistle near the mirror when it’s super windy.

I hear the exact sounds you mention with the exception of the whistle from the mirror.

Found the source of the noise and fixed it...

It's the large inner door seal attached to the cab near the top of the upper B-pillar. It moves just a tiny as the truck flexes while driving. About 3-4" down from the top back corner the seal shifts slightly as you pull on the weather stripping and that rubs against the metal/plastic of the b-pillar creating the noise. There are a bunch of metal bumps facing inward on the B-pillar that latch into a flap on the seal.

Pull the weather stripping out starting at the top back corner of the driver's door about 3/4 the way down the B-pillar and forward from the top back corner about 5-6". Just use a bit of caution as the outer flat edge of the seal has a wire in it and will curl away from the frame if you bend it too much. If that happens you will have to work it back to sit flat against the cab. Once it's pulled away, use a rubber mallet to reinstall the weather stripping starting in the area that was loose (making the noise) then work alternating up/down from that spot until the seal is back in place. This will reseat the weather seal and stop the noise. I did this two nights ago and it's gone from low 50's at night to near 90's and so far so good. No noise.

Good afternoon. Would you please send over a private message with your VIN and dealer info so I can look into this concern regarding your driver door?

Mine was similar area. B-pillar, but the little felt strip on the rear door that is attached to the piano black trim. I found that routing the little tab of the rubber seal up top over the outside of the felt fixed it for me.

Get a dead blow or heavy-ish rubber mallet. Pull 2/3 of the inner door weather seal off the cab and start re-seating it with the mallet up top in the corner on the B-pillar until it's fully reset. For the corner get a section of 2" PVC and smack the bajeebus out of it to seat the weather stripping in the corner first. You want to make sure the top back corner is fully seated. If it's not the noise will return because the seal slightly shifts as you drive down the road.

Since doing this back in April the noise hasn't returned.

If it ever does return I'll likely buy a new inner door seal and start installing it in that corner to ensure it's properly seated.

Hi Bailey, apologize the delay in providing an update. I have been to two dealerships, no answers. Ford Customer Experience Specialist has recommended a third dealership but I am unable to take my truck there as they do not offer rentals or loaners and are over 20 miles from me. The Specialist has told me they do not have a database they can search to see if there is a recommended fix for this.

At a bit of a loss at this point. At the second dealership I drove the truck with a Service Technician and we recreated the noise, both when I was driving and when he was driving. He said the only fix he could consider trying was pulling the door closer to the body with the swing arm. Once we were back to the dealership after the drive, the Service Manager indicated this would not work and said I need to go to a body shop. This was approximately a month ago and the door noise has become more pronounced and is happening more often than before. Like you and I have mentioned the post, the door is basically moving up and down and away from the weather stripping.

I have showed each dealership how the upper portion of the driver side door is not flush with the back door and the door becomes more flush as you move towards the bottom of the body of the truck. In my opinion, it is apparent it is a door alignment issue and causes additional wind noise, door movement while driving, and a door that is not secure which causes additional rattling on the inside.

If you or anyone has found any solutions I would greatly appreciate the information. Hope all is well and stay in touch!
bumping this back to the top. I have a 2024 Raptor that I got last Friday and have the exact same issue. Any update or solution from the dealer?

Hi Joe! I can look into your F-150's concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your F-150’s VIN?

Door is out of adjustment. Someone at the factory gets paid $100k a year to do this job, but can't be bothered to do it, not even on Ford's literal flagship truck.

Another employee also gets paid $100k a year to drive each truck over a rough road to listen for, and fix, rattles and squeaks, and also couldn't be bothered to do their job.

No updates unfortunately. Three Ford Dealerships + Ford Motor Company customer assistance and no solutions. The only option I have not tried is taking to body shop and having them adjust the “swing arm“ on door. One of the dealerships recommended this after technician rode with me and sound was recreated when I was driving and when he was driving.

12,000 miles on truck. I don’t drive as much as I did when I had my Chevy as I do not have the desire the way this truck was build. Now I am having issues with no welcome lighting and the message on screen saying I am in save mode. Less than 2 years old and having this many issues. Very difficult to consider keeping the truck and Ford does absolutely nothing to stand behind their vehicles and charge way more than they should due to quality.

I've been having this issue since I bought the truck and I just fixed it myself.

I loosened the latch pawl in the B pillar (at first I took it off and flipped it over but this didn't make a difference) and with a wood block and a hammer I beat it inward, and the pawl shifted about an 8th of an inch. I tightened the bolts back up and drove the truck down some bumpy roads in my neighborhood and I haven't heard the door bouncing around since. It's also slightly harder to to close the door tightly but I'm ok with that because now the door appears aligned with the rear door.
