It requires Google to enable the coolwalk features in Android Auto on your phone. That makes a lot more sense, very similar yeah! Just the extra steps to get it enabled makes AA users flood the forums and in FB groups for 3 days all asking the same question; that and where’s their 3.5.3+ update lol. Believe so yeah, he just didn’t enable the climate bar like I did in my work’s XLT (see below). I have Alexa enabled in both my work’s take-home XLT 302A and my personal Lariat 502A. No issues so far! ??
Most Android users are waiting for the Android Auto UI upgrade named "Coolwalk". This will allow for the custom app sizing and full-screen maps. Google has been very, very slow in rolling it out. You can search around the web to see the discussions.
What phone do you have? I am following the AA Beta Program and the Samsung S21 Ultra hasn't received the Coolwalk yet which is what you nee to get the full screen. I have that phone and it's frustrating...
Agreed, I have tried numerous times and builds until I found out it's phone related, i.e. make & model. My phone hasn't had it rolled out yet and it's the Samsung S21 Ultra and yet the 22 Ultra has it... SMDH
I have the S21 Ultra, too. The phone is still highly supported. I am sure we'll get it soon.
If it is device specific, that’s a pain; all the more reason why iPhones don’t have this issue, they’re all the same platform. Couldn’t help myself ?
