I read that in another forum. That's also why I forwarded the information with the preface of, "It's my understanding....." However, it also fit the mold as to explaining why the dealership replaced the pan of @Mosey 's truck.Did you see that in the factory service manual, or are you making an assumption? Plenty of composite pieces on engines that aren't single-use just because they're composite.
I hope so! When I first read elsewhere that it was a one-time use item, it left me shaking my head. You noted that you "belive Ford currently considers the pan to be reusable". Perhaps the information that I read was outdated and unknowingly presented as current. In either case, from what you and @hotrodmex are saying, it sounds like it is incorrect.I believe Ford currently considers the 10r80 pan, as well as seals and gaskets are reusable if not damaged.
