Got the VIN from the dealership, I confirmed again today

I'm able to see what the dealership can do...

Well, no one is in the office anymore...

So going to be email, sales, sales manger and the GM

Lets hope they can do something about this, and get the ball moving... cause it is pretty BS

Like Oxford said, if you have to re-order, yours should be number one priority. Or Ford should discount your next order. It is their mistake after all.

dealer has to push ford rep, I am sure rep can do at their end some incentives.

I ordered my truck at dealer #1 on 26 March. They sit on the order and never sent it to Ford until 6 May. 7 May I ordered the truck at dealer #2, told them what happened and they got me a 1 priority from Ford. Truck was delivered on 13 July. Push your dealer for the higher priority.

There's still some oldtimers that were driving around in the 1970's when nobody had traction and still feel that having more than RWD is either unnecessary, 'cheating', or more bizarrely 'unmanly.' They will snicker and state under their breath "Nobody needs..." while shaking their head unapprovingly. They can be found shouting out of the peanut gallery on the other F-150 forums whenever there's a post asking about the 4A transfer case, as they one-up the 'you only need 4X4' crew.

There's also some people who have dedicated 'Summer' and 'Winter' trucks, or they're snowbirds and go South for the winter.

Either way, OP is out of luck and had I heard any of these horror stories, I would have placed two deposits with different dealers when I ordered my truck, with the other one being cheap insurance.

Did you check with your dealer to confirm it is exactly your truck and not another ordered vehicle? If it is the correct vehicle, I would take my original order sheet to the dealer and show them the difference. But if the vehicle is built not much you can do in regards to that specific truck. May have to place another order or try and find another vehicle.

I worked in Ford dealerships, for over 15 years, and here in Canada, no-one in their right mind would order a 4X2. The salesperson should have gone over the order input printout, and made sure all options were entered correctly as changes can be made up until serialization (I changed mine from Agate black to Space White). This is a DEALER ERROR, simply by not confirming the specs, with you. In all my years, I have rarely seen an error that didn't originate at the dealer (a crossbreed Tempo/Topaz comes to mind, which the sales team affectionately called the Tampax!)

have you tried using the 1FTF when tracking serial number instead of the 1WE? I dont think Ive ever seen a F150 start with a W in the first 4 digits
