Honestly thinking about it you might be better off finding a salvage limited with a bent frame and intact cab to take all the parts out of the interior and throw the rest on eBay no reserve to recoup some money. That would give you everything including the harnesses. Heated, cooled AND massaging seats? Nice if you have the cash to work it.

Anyone know what’s involved in upgrading to push start instead of key

I took my XL STX to the equivalent of a 502 A Lariat

Mine has Blue Cruise, APA, Power Running Boards.. Multi Contour Seats.

I added everything. It was a base Truck. I have heated and cooled seats.

As far as cost.. that is something with MANY variables. No real answer for that but its in the 10 thousand dollar range Id bet if you go full tilt.

Are you able to add 9.6kw/7.2kw Pro power to it?

No. My truck isnt a Hybrid. You can only do that if you have the powerboost..
I see. I have the lightning and it is just an 240v inverters and wiring needed. Just thought it might be the same.

No because non hybrid doesnt have the high voltage like the lightning and power boost

ok THanks.
Ford may have changed the inverters, but early PB inverters were unique to them based on their input voltage specs. Upgrading the lightning 2.4 system to the 2.4 + 7.2 requires a full re-wire of the HV system, or building a "tap". The individual parts and wires / tools to build a tap in time and money is about the cost of the HV wiring harness. The HV wiring isn't just insulated copper. It's got several layers to it including a foil shield.

For the lightning it is another inverter for 7.2kw and the wiring harness to connect to junction box and then the 240v outlet panel. The wiring to the panel already have the 4 wires needed.

I like the idea of putting in the paddle shifters. How much of the Baja mode can you install? I have a Powerboost lariat.

I started messing with Forscan, but was having issues getting cameras on at speed and the headlight highbeam thing to work. I should probably dig into that again and try to get it working together.

I'm talking about the HVDC wiring ;) -- They are different entirely.

As for the rear wiring itself, it's different as well due to the 2.4 system powering the rear outlet w/out the 7.2 onboard. Didn't dig that far into it, but when the rear panel is changed over to the 7.2 system, the bed outlet can't remain on the 2.4

Yes it will need to be using the 7.2kw inverter. The lightning is a little different since it has both 2.4kw and 7.2kw inverter. But the wiring for the back will connect to the 7.2kw inverter. There are 4 wires same as with the non 7.2kw and 1 of the wires doesnt have power for non 7.2kw.
