ok brothers n sisters...2023 17k mile sc f150 roush installed by them. motor blew in many areas. stock, no mods... everything so far points to it ran lean under a heavy acceleration. has anyone in here installed a fuel pump voltage booster to fix the stock pumps problem of not keeping up with the demand under boost??? if so, what brand and opinions... I'm leaning towardvmp. new engine being put in as I write this and I do not want to have it come apart AGAIN!

That sucks! Stock fuel system has more than enough capability without the need to change anything for the kit superchargers. It starts to run out of steam around 1000hp.

Were you logging it when this happened? Had you logged the truck shortly before this? What fuel? Cats?

Running VMP PnP booster, no issues but as others have mentioned (and assuming stock pulley on the Roush) you should be fine fueling-wise.

Which plugs are you running and how do they look?

agree but ALL has been checked and that's all that could have happened at this point. plus talked to an x ford tech and he said ford is aware of the problem but its a rousgcharged issue due to their tune so idk.. I know it wouldn't hurt it I just don't want this again ha!

stock pulley they installed.. only 17k so plugs weren't ever needed to be looked at before this.

I could be mistaken but my understanding is that nearly every F/I kit out requires a colder set of plugs but perhaps not.

I can confirm it takes special plugs from what roush has told me BUT at 17k, I've not done a change personally to put my eyes on them

There's the low pressure in-tank pumps and then a cam driven HP pump that bumps pressure up to around 3k psi. Modifying the fuel system would be an excuse to deny a claim while at the same time not really providing any benefit. Not sure why it blew, though roush may have an idea. Sometimes shit just happens though. Might be a code in the PCM right before it let loose, could also be evidence in the motor. Either way the warranty should get you rectified eventually.

A lot of people have said that the catalytic converters are too restrictive for the supercharger.

Ford F-150 complete detonation IMG_3396

You can check some of my other posts but roush has a tune revision out there. Reach out to Roush or have your dealer open a case with then.
Broken cat will cause back pressure in the cylinders. Not saying that is what happened to you but like was mentioned above you should ask the dealer to look into it. You could tap on the cats and listen for rattles in my case.
