Hey everyone. Picked up my '22 PB a few weeks ago and on cold mornings, I am noticing a large draft of cold air under the drivers seat.

I've noticed with heated seats on and off, as well as cooled seats off. Seems somewhat more noticeable when driving. Before I reach out to a dealer, anyone else experience anything like this?

Thanks in advance. Looking forward to getting involved in this community.

The only thing under the seat that I am aware of that could do this is the HVAC duct.

Check to make sure the HVAC isn't on Auto or mixed output. Sometimes it will blend air from both the dash and under seats when on Auto and may be directing colder outside air to the lower ducts. You can also manually direct airflow to multiple zones in manual mode. If you have dual zone active and one side is set to a colder temp, it may be that as well.

Thanks, I've tinkered with it a bit, but I'm going to try this out and see what happens. Appreciate the input.

When I put mine on max defrost it starts blowing cold air around my feet, I'm not sure if that's what you are experiencing as well.

It's very annoying. 12 years later the climate system is now a step behind my 2011 Raptor.

Yep, basically the same thing. I put my hand under the seat and I can feel cold air moving around.

Used max defrost for the first time today and noticed the same thing! 20* morning and even with the truck getting warmed up, I felt super cold air radiating from under the seat. Something goofy with the climate control that’s for sure.

Update: took mine into a dealer and got a little bit of a run around on it, and no resolution. I'm gonna try to find a thermometer of some sort to check the difference in temperatures around the truck. Mine definitely has a draft to it as well, so it feels like cold air is being pulled into the cab.

Which motors are these trucks? The powreboost rapidly heats up the cabin air with the exhaust. Curious which motors experience this, and how long have they been running?

It’s not engine related, engine is already hot. For me when max defrost is turned on cold air starts pumping in by my feet it gets darn cold down there.

Wow, that's really odd. It's likely an issue with the vent selection and blend doors (probably the design itself). Is it the vent to the right of the gas pedal, the floor vent blowing to the rear, or air leaking out from under the carpet where the split is present in the carpet to let the seat's wiring out.

In mine, the draft is coming from under the seat. Hitting me in the back of the legs.
