I'm installing a cell booster and need a 12v switched source preferably under the driver or passenger seat. Booster claims it only draws about 2A.

If you've got a 12V power-point on the back of the console, that can be extracted without removing the trim panel, the switched power-feed tapped, and your wires easily routed under the edge of the console to either side with the help of a stiff 'fish-wire' (BTDT)

Pic of "T" removal tool fitted into slots in the socket (just pull, yes its tight and requires some force, this is from the Ford Workshop Manual):

I've made my own port-puller tool using coat hanger wire, just bend a narrow "U" with short hooks on the ends to grab both of those slots in the socket ;) .

Note that anything connected to a power-port feed will be subject to the same key-off delay and battery-saver strategy as loads plugged into the port itself (which can be a good thing, IMO)

Just for your consideration.
