Just found this forum. I just purchased a 2025 Ford F150 XLT v.8, and am hearing an intermittent chirping/cricket like sound from or near the driver side digital panel. Noticed it right away, and the pathology is eerily identical to other reports I have seen on other forums. Upon start-up and first 5-7 to minutes of operation, the cricket sounding chirp is coming from or around the digital driver-side panel. After driving a short distance, the sound goes away. I have had the truck for a couple weeks, and only 200 miles on the odometer. I reached out through chat to the dealership, and was assured someone from service would get back to me...still waiting. I have tried seeing if having the air/heat on or off, or the re-circulator on or off made any difference, and nothing has made any difference. The vehicle drives awesome and no other issues. Sound is annoying and honestly a bit disheartening considering the cost of these trucks. Hope someone has luck seeing a resolution, If I see or hear anything, will likewise post an update here. Would appreciate others thoughts/suggestions/experience. Ugggggh....always something!!!

Just checked back here to see if there has been any further updates. I called the Ford dealership and service has not heard of this issue reported. Suggested I have this checked when it’s time for an oil change and they can further look into the matter.

I’ve noticed something similar. Almost like the sound of computers before
solid state hard drives.

Check to make sure the dealer didn't install a cell phone GPS tracker.

Ford uses white plastic for the OBD port If yours isn't white then they likely did and It'll be piggybacked into the ODB port cable end and will have a bundled wire loom with thin black rectangular box at the end and likely zip tied or stuck to something under the dash with double sided tape. Mine had one of these things and it started randomly making noise similar to a cricket chirping which I promptly removed once I found it.

I’ve got a 2025 XLT 3.5 and I have the same noise! I was actually going to make a post about it but haven’t yet.
I’ve got about 7500KM on my ODO now, and I’d say my cricket seems to act the exact same as yours, very interested in seeing what this is about.

Same with mine, only the first few minutes.
It seems to be coinciding with touching the gas pedal after touching the brake pedal.

Chirping, cricket or double-clicking sound.

One thing i've noticed, it seems to be coming from under the hood but close to the firewall. Maybe the brake booster adjusting? Somewhere near there.

The other i started the truck just to bring it in the garage, so it only ran for about 1 minute. When i got out, i heard it ever clearer walking by the left front fender. After shutdown, it only did it once or twice.

Some guys have the same issue on the Lightning forum so we can eliminate anything engine related but either HVAC or brake related could be similar.

My 25 XLT 3.5 does the same. I've heard it when the truck is turned off as well. Like someone else mentioned, I think it's coming from the engine bay, right at the fire wall.

I thought I was going crazy. 😉

Unfortunately I’ve seen this issue reported on lots of forums for a long time. No one has figured out what it is. Seems like we will never know.
I've heard it before, truck turned off, so it's definitely not clockspring related. I also dont think its associated to pedals. I was thinking wastgates but I think some 5.0 guys have it too.

Maybe brake booster related? I'll really try to figure it out
