I had this same problem on my 21 F-250 that was sprayed aftermarket by the dealer. I could only get one of three in. I gave up before I traded it but I had planned on shimming them out with a couple of thin washers versus removing material from the plastic tiedown. My 2022 is sprayed from the factory. We'll see if I have the same issue of them not wanting to slide into place.

Mine went in easy, mounted plates after Linex sprayed bed, just needed to get the correct angle going into the plates.

I believe I just folded them down a little then just wiggled them into the plates.

I’m having a lot of problems getting them in as well. I had The bed sprayed with Linex; thinking thats part of the issue. About to go back out and remove the brackets to see if that helps, I’d hate To have to file these down

I have an aftermarket spray in box liner and I took the brackets off to install the cheats, which required a little of persuasion with a rubber hammer. I have no plans to take them out and the front 2 are holding down my cross bed tool box.

This was an interesting thread to read as I have had a Line-X in my last three trucks and never had an issue with the cleat install or removal. Line-X removes and re-installs the mounting plates. The go in and out without little effort.

Got the box links on, but as stated earlier in the post, having the bed liner might make the tolerances tight. I had to file down the plastic back and lubercate just a bit to get three of the four on. Should of been a quicker job, but such is life.

Spray in bed liner makes them super tight. I just taped them in.

Oh man. I’ve been messing with these dang things for 45 minutes and I’m drenched in sweat. I had the factory spray in bedliner. I wonder if that creates a tighter fit. I’ve even beat on the damn things with a rubber mallet..
My 24 has the factory spray in liner…..cleats all installed in less than 5 minutes
