Not sure what you mean by modem on. All options are on in terms of connectivity except driving data
Jesse can fix it in minutes. Get the FORScan adapter and he will get it working as he has for countless people.

Adapter should be here today and I will put software on laptop. How do I get in touch with Jesse? Thanks for the help

Just message him with your VIN when you have it. He offered to help you on the other thread. He will need to remote in to your laptop using team viewer while you're plugged in with forscan to fix it. He is 100% trustworthy and 1000% capable of fixing it.

No, the dealer cannot fix it without involving Ford engineers.

Update- brought truck to the dealer who as we predicted had no clue. I called Ford to cancel blue cruise and get refund for the $75 I paid for one month. What a joke. 80k truck and the dealer nor Ford gives a f*ck that their tech doesn’t work and no one has the competency to fix it. Very disappointing

So let me get this straight…

You came on here and took the time to write a post asking for help. The person who could have easily helped you get this fixed in under an hour volunteered his time and offered to help. Instead, you went to the dealer, who everyone warned you couldn’t help and to no one’s surprise, they were no help.

And now you are complaining to this community, who outlined exactly what to do to fix your issue, and you want us to feel bad?

Am I missing something?

Guys, remember that we were all new here at one time. When I first became active on this forum, I didn't listen to anyone and tried three different dealers to get my missing BC updates with no help before I took the dive, bought a Mongoose and Jesse remoted in to help with my issue. Those of us that have been here a while know what's up, but keep in mind that new members are being asked to let a perfect stranger from the internet remote access into their personal computer.

We learned this a long time ago. Dealer techs are not software engineers. They are dependent on what the software Ford gives them can do, and the software they use is not capable of fixing your issue. Dealer would have to open a case with Ford and that is a process that takes time. While it may go against everything you know, you're better off getting help from total strangers on the internet. Spend some time on this forum and you'll quickly know what I mean.

Jesse would have had you fixed in no time. He's remoted in to hundreds of members trucks through there computers and fixed the problem. Look him up and read his posts. You will quickly realize you dismissed your Actual chance to get the right help. @Jesse-Infotainment

Wasn’t trying to dismiss anything. Just seemed reasonable to bring a brand new truck to the dealer and since I was going to be asking Ford for a refund-figured needed to go through the motions. I had already touched base with Jesse. At ease!

Fair enough.

Being a few years into this journey, I know 100% that the folks here are much more competent than the folks at the dealerships. I have been bailed out numerous times by Jesse and many others on here including a recent deep dive into my high voltage system failures. We tried anything and everything to keep the truck here and get it working before running out of options and eventually having it towed in.

On the other hand, my dealership has had my truck all but a total of 13 days since May (and it went back in today) because it won’t reliably start despite changing out essentially the entire hybrid system and 12v batteries I’m addition to numerous other “solutions”. Ford support has also been involved but also havent been much help. I have completely lost faith in Ford. Just need to realize that everyone else isn’t there yet!
