I just recently purchased a 2024 F-150 XLT. With the purchase came a 90 day free trial of BlueCruise. I like the feature, but find the cost of the subscription for BlueCruise (after the 90 Day trial) outrageous and will not pay for the feature after the trial period. Having said that, I just received a survey in my e-mail about BlueCruise. One of the areas the survey focused on was the cost of the subscription and whether or not I would pay $40 a month, $20 a month, an annual fee of $250, a lifetime fee of $2,000, or a lifetime fee included in the purchase of the vehicle. I'm retired and don't do extensive driving, but I definitely find these options more realistic to me and hope Ford makes some changes to their pricing for this feature.

I had BlueCruise on my 21. I did use it a lot and I liked it, but until they improve BlueCruise and allow it to work with a trailer attached like Gm's super cruise , I don't use it and I didn't renew the subscription . To clarify I have a bike rack with lights and as soon as you plug in the lights, the truck thinks a trailer is attached and disables BlueCruise.

I"ve used the BC on my '23 Lariet, and it's definitely a nice option to have for occasional use. However, given the traffic and roadways in Colorado, I"m not always comfortable trusting the technology in all situations. More than likely I won't renew when that time comes.

I absolutely love BC1.4
It's such a great feature for long jaunts behind the wheel. Makes a difference in fatigue for sure.

But

Since that kind of travel is only occasional for me, Ford will need to come up with some options other than the monthly/annual that they currently offer.

I have just less than a year left on the Bluecruise subscription on the Powerboost.
And on my Mach-E, the trial has already ended.

As much as I like the feature, I didn't renew in the Mach-E and I won't be in the Powerboost.

I need them to come up with a temp license like the do for PTS access.
72 hours for ~$25.00 ?

Mine is a 2022.
It shipped with 1.0

Technically Ford released 1.4 for the 2021-2024 6 months ago? If your truck is completely up to date (FDRS is likely required unless you are favored by the OTA genie) then your Bluecruise is running on the 1.4 software stack. You will certainly know by the much improved stability and accuracy.

You just won't have lane changing and lane bias enabled, because Ford has not rendered those two toggles/switches in Sync4 for you yet.
