BLUECRUISE 1.4 IS HERE!!! Update Installing Now

The official 1.4 release is essentially what everyone has had with the forscan edits since 23.

The December 23 update for IPMA had all the new features.. and the newest release is basically an official release of those features.

I have a 24 Lightning now and it has those features and it is not at the technical official 1.4 version.

At this point it will be Auto lane change as an addition in 1.5 and the other features will have supposed refinements or improvements.

Also the Blue Cruise engagement is improved with every map release. As of now AAV is the newest for that and that is renewed every quarter or so.

SO it is possible to have BC work in areas that it didnt before without IPMA update because a new BC map was uploaded tp the gateway.

Yes. The only feature it does not have is the automatic lane change when there’s a slow vehicle in front of you that’s in 1.5.
I wonder if the BBC version just has the changes that people were doing in forscan to enable everything.

Depends on how you got it. If you got BBC via an OTA, then the config for lane change etc will be included in the update. If you updated to BBC with FDRS, you will need to enable it with FORScan.

I have a 2021 Lariat 502A and had a ton of problems with Bluecruise from day one. They almost did a buy back it was at the dealer so long when after 2 years they finally figured it out. Long story. So finally in Jan 2024 I have Bluecruise and paid for the 3 years. Happy with it and have been waiting patiently for the updates as I believe I'm running on 1.0 still. Now I reading on here that 2021 will not be getting 1.3 and 1.4 ? Can anyone really confirm if this is true or not? If not really blows for a truck that does not even have 10k miles yet.

I know I know I can get it through FORScan and Jesse has helped me in the past with some problems. I'm just scared to do FORScan and mess something up. If 2021 will not be getting 1.3 1.4 and so on, I guess I have no other option but to do FORScan.

The 2021 trucks were the first to get the new software released in FDRS, but as of now, only 2023 trucks have gotten it OTA. It will come to all trucks eventually. Nothing to be scared of with the FORScan method though.

Yes, the 2021 Ford F-150 Lariat 502A will be eligible for the BlueCruise 1.4 update:

• BlueCruise 1.4
  This update will be available for certain models from 2021 and later, including the F-150, F-150 Lightning, Expedition, Explorer, and Mustang Mach-E. It will also come standard on some 2025 Ford and Lincoln models.

Do you have the latest IPMA and APIM updates/software? Depending on what you did with Jesse, you may be all set if you get the latest bits.

part of me wants to get a mongoose and do this...but where i drive theres not a lot of BC areas unless i'm taking a road trip...not to mention id have to do some major reading to figure out a bunch of things before even attempting to do this haha

With FORScan, you can check the strategy version of your IPMA. If it is on ACJ or BBC, then you have the right software. However, this OTA being so new, if you had it, you'd know.

How long does it typically take to get an update from the time it's downloaded to a early access program truck to a non early access program truck? When do you think Bluecruise 1.4 will make it to my 2023 F-150? I usually get regular updates and I just got the hvac update 1 week ago.

From what I can tell typically it’s a month or two.
