I’ll be driving to Phoenix for Christmas and I’m going to bring the mongoose cable in case @rugedraw has some 1.5 Christmas gifts for us. ? BC is a welcome helper for 3500 miles.

I’ll drop this here because I keep forgetting which BC version does what.

This new IPMA software does not have 1.5 in it. The gurus here already dissected it and confirmed this.

It was released for 2021 trucks in FDRS in September and you just updated your truck. You're already on the new IPMA software.

Sure, I wasn’t saying I wasn’t. I’m saying at some point, if Ford releases software for F-150s for 1.5, and if that includes 2021s, and it’s an option for my truck in FDRS, I’m ready! I have no expectations that will be for Christmas this year or anytime soon, if ever. I’m just saying there’s a chance! ?

Well, the Mach E starting getting 1.3 about 2-3 months ago and the trucks just started getting 1.4 now, so I would not hold my breathe for 1.5 to show its face any time soon.

I will share what I told Ford then they called. BC costs too much, Chevy is 1/2 the price and way more roads. In Washington State, BC is only the interstates while Chevy has the US highways also.

As other said, they need to support towing, not sure why they don't as Blind Side supports the trailer being there. You enter the trailer length, and it allows for it.

Wait does your BC not work at all when you tow ? Mine gives me the option to go into BC when I have a medium trailer attached but obv the blind spot alert says it’s turned off with the trailer connected

No BC, no lane keep assist when towing for me. Even my tiny jet ski trailer. I’ll have to see if that changed with the 1.4 update.

I didn’t get to try it out before my subscription ended but now BC isn’t even showing able to renew anymore in the FP app. I have no idea what that’s about. I bought the year of connected Nav assuming it was related and it doesn’t seem to be

A connected (bulit-in) nav subscription has nothing to do with a BlueCruise subscription.

If you had a working BC subscription and it expired, you most certainly should be able to access Connected Services (FordPass or web site) and pay for another one.

Did you try calling the connected services phone number? No guarantees but this is possibly one of the few things they could actually help you with.

Any time it detects trailer lights, it disables BC. They don't want to take a chance it would cause trailer sway issues. Mainly for legal reasons if it were cause an accident.
