Now that’s very interesting. Wouldn’t have ever thought RainX could be worsening the condition .
I used to use RainX years ago and while it allowed the water to bead up and blow off, I found that my wipers would streak and chatter, so maybe that's your problem. I stopped using it years ago.

My OEM wipers seem to be still doing ok about 10 months into owning the truck. For replacements I've always used rain-x brand wipers and they seem to do fine.

I thought FORD covered 1 set of wipers up to a year.

I’ll look. Is there adjustability?
Not really. You just have to look at the arm and see if it has a slight twist to it. Then instead of the blade being at a 90 degree angle to the windshield, it has a slight "twist" to the blade and maybe something like a 75 to 105 degree angles. You can then just try to twist that whole arm back to normal so the blade again sits at 90 degrees. Good luck.

Well, I’ll be going in for oil change soon. I’ll wait and ask them first before buying new ones. Thanks for the heads up

On order ‘22 RCSB.
Make sure you clean the wiper blades as often or more so than your windshield. I also use rainx but only replace wipers every couple years on our 3 vehicles. Just a routine deal for me though. I use the rainx brand wipers from costco.

I would guess people getting more than 6 to 9 months out of wipers don’t live in the south. The sun destroys them in no time in Houston. I feel like I am always buying new wipers because they just smear the heavy rain we get.

I drive 50K miles a year or more and have always had great service from OE Ford wipers. The rainx is part of your problem with the skipping.

Somewhat counterintuitively regular use will make them last longer. Climates with a pronounced dry season or winters below 0 eat them up. Your issue is most likely related to industrial pollution and overall terrible air quality in the petrochemical belt.

When I was a service writer we replaced wipers if the customer said they "streaked", for sure.

My parts guy said that FORD may ask for them back because they were a "warranty part".

Have you wiped the rubber blades down with rubbing alcohol. That will clean any build-up off of them.

Rain-X spray  Seems like it should be a good idea, but it just isn't. One and done for me.

I use Griot's glass polish, and it doesn't seem to bother my wipers. And it lasts.

When I bought my Power stop brake kits, I saw they had power stop wipers as well for a decent price (Amazon) they have been the best wipers I have ever had, they will be the only ones I get from now on!

I am curious, when people here mention "Rain-X is the problem" - which product of Rain-X are you referring to, is it the application to the windshield? I use Rain-X silicone blades and also Rain-X windshield fluid and don't see any issue.

In my case it was the stuff you rubbed on the window.
