Good choice, I just did the Bedrug and RetraxOne XR, picked the truck up Friday and just instealled them today.
I also added the Ford Tailgate seal as well to help reduce the dust

Installed mine today, taking my time to cut the bolt locations for cleats and tie downs. Took the tail lamps out to push the lights and light switch out as well. I cannot, for the life of me, get the light switch to sit in the cut opening for it in the BedRug. Ran out of daylight and will have to tackle it tomorrow.

Any suggestions or tips on how to make the light switch sit through the rug and in the proper location?

Happy with my bed rug install (over worksurface) except for the driver side light and light switch that I messed up.

Unfortunately I was working on a timeline and was having a tough time popping the lights out so i cut.

Popping the light off the next day helped improve that area but on the driver side cut too much material out.

The switch doesn't look great either so I slapped a velcro patch over it.

I wish I would've seen thay video before my install. Should be able fix/clean up the button, will do that in the spring.

Just go slow cutting as little as possible and use a carpet knife with new blade.

Cut a little. Test a little. Learn a lot. It will fit over the material.

Finished the install today. Happy with the results but it took some time. I'll revisit the switch when the weather warms up again.

Can the tailgate work surface be mounted on top of a Bedrug Impact liner as well?

I would go over the work surface , who is crazy enough to use their 70k truck as a work bench / saw horse

People who use their truck as a work vehicle instead of a minivan alternative - what a concept. The Pro Power generators have outlets at the end of the bed so people can plug in power tools at a job site and not for their espresso machines.

The one thing I do not like about the tailgate is the soft plastic that was used. If I was going to go anything it would be replace the plastic sheet with stainless steel sheet to have a tougher surface.

This is a great idea. Surprising there isn't an available aftermarket part to do just this. Not that I know of at least.
