In manual HVAC mode, is there a range between the measured outside temperature and the cabin temperature setpoint that doesn't activate the heater or the AC?

For example, if the truck measures 75 deg F outside, and i set the cabin temp to 75F.
Then the outside temp changes to 74F does the trucks HVAC control system turn on the heater because the cabin setpoint is still 75F even if the HVAC system is not set to auto?

Conversely, in manual HVAC mode, if the the cabin temperature is set to 75F and the outside temperature changes from 75F to 76F, does the truck turn on the AC?
I don’t know. All I can do is tell you that what works for my truck.

As anyone found a fix a a way to disable these 2 annoying features in Forscan or other way?

1. AC turns on every time the truck is turned on even if all auto features are OFF.

2. When going in Sport mode, 4x4 turns on automatically. It can be switched to 2wd after but annoying.

This was not an issue on my 2018.
It goes into AWD (not 4X4) for better acceleration (Sporty anyone?)! Not sure why you would use sport mode if you didn’t want sporty features? Mileage penalty for AWD vs 2WD is about 1 mpg but of course the closer shift points will penalize you more than that.

AC can be set to last settings or based on outside conditions, but possibly not working correctly.?

Hate, seems like such a strong word, for automatic climate control and a more sure footed truck.

I simply think that manufacturers should stop assuming what climate customers want in their cars. Can we still decide what manual settings we want ON or OFF like my 2018 f150?? It could be as simple as adding an option in the vehicle settings. They seem to automate more and more like the park assist etc.. if the customer doesn't know how to park, perhaps a truck shouldn't be something he should buy.

Don't have park assist but I came from an 01 XLT, so there aren't many who went through a bigger tech shock / learning curve than I did.

I decided to embrace the suck and turns out, I really like the truck, use almost all the goodies, especially auto climate and when wet, 4A.

XLs only have 2H - 4H - 4L
LOL, thank you for the education.

I swapped a Raptor TOD Hi-Loc 4A transfer case and TCCM into my truck.

Ah, well thanks for clarifying that! Certainly seems like a pertinent point that you omitted in your original post, and as one other comment stated, it definitely wasn’t delivered. OEM like that. Good job in swapping it in though, but I rest my case that “Sport” mode is maximizing traction as well as close shifting.
personally, I like it on my Tremor, but will admit I typically only use it to impress passengers 🤣, as after the initial burst of acceleration dies down I find the up-shifts to be too aggressive (holding lower gear too long). I’ve tried it in 2WD, but I don’t like the potential to fishtail on anything except for perfectly dry pavement. As previously drove a Ford Edge Sport with permanent all-wheel-drive, I have no issue with it being default on the sport mode
