The software is fixed now. When I was looking to replace my 2016 F-150 this past June, I saw many. PB's for sale and the prices were cheaper than the non-PB's. Did some research and found many issues with the PB's, but not with the engine's. I asked my service manager where I take my vehicles for service and he said if you want to come see me every week or so, buy one. He said wait a year or two for the bugs to be worked out.
But the PB's been out nearly 4 years. And Ford increased their PB production line for 2024. I have no idea if they've actually upheld this announcement. If I had to replace my truck, I'd definitely consider one again but would be sad that I'd not get the same compilation of options I currently have without going up a couple trim levels - which brings $$ along with it....He said wait a year or two for the bugs to be worked out.
You are the second person I've seen mention this, but not a single member has posted such for their truck. At least not that I've seen. The 24's are having issues with blowing turbos, seems as if they changed the casting in the 24's.
Members on my Powerboost group..I have over 16k members...3 or 4 of them have had catastrophic turbo failures on their 24's, after less than a 2 weeks of ownership. You are the second person I've seen mention this, but not a single member has posted such for their truck. At least not that I've seen.
Where is the information (source) for Gen14 Ecoboosts blowing up turbos? Other than Facebook, of course.
Did the turbo failure result in a cascading engine failure? You are the second person I've seen mention this, but not a single member has posted such for their truck. At least not that I've seen.

Just because YOU haven't seen it, doesn't mean others haven't..

3 or 4, specificity need not apply. We've seen that truck's details posted here already so we're still at 1 shown 2 mentioned. ?4 out of 16k is .025%
Your numbers are skewed...only a couple hundred or the members are 24's, which is the topic...4 out of 16k is .025%
So I poked around that FB page and found this gem of a post. The payload comments were incredible.
