Not sure if it's just me or?
It appears my Speedo and tach are smaller in size recently?
(2022 Plat)
Was there an update or is there a setting I changed thatade them smaller or is it just me and they've always been like this?

I like the scaling better with navigation in play. I'll tell Alexa "route me home" just to trigger the tighter scaling.
I assure you that I know how to get home without her help.

Most of the time anyway.

It does appear that your gauges are smaller. Is your photo after getting the 6.8 0 IPC ota update? For comparison in size here's my 21 Lariat as of December 13th, with all 6.x.x updates except for 6.8 0

But your cluster isn't accommodating navigation prompts between the upper 4 gauges. So your picture is the default scaling.
If you load a route, your cluster will look exactly like the OP picture.

My gauges will always remain large. Never signed up for Ford Navigation. Didn't want to continually have to pay for updates. My Garmin RV GPS still works fine.

It also shrinks to accommodate the navigation prompts when using Apple Maps (and presumably Google maps).

No need to sign up for Nav to experience the smaller gauges if you want to give it a try!

You get the same experience with Google Maps on Android Auto and Apple Maps on CarPlay

Is this a temporary or trial thing?
I'm not paying anything for this. I just turned it on and drove.

Not sure exactly, but I'm pretty sure it must be renewed every year.
