I have the oem bed liner. Been debating on removing it and going to just a mat, but wondering if there is one that would sit on top of the bed liner and fit nicely?

Additionally I get a little water that comes in under my tonneau cover, I think its because the seal that rides along the top of the bed liner nearest the back window has some gaps in the corners where the rubber doesn't lay flat. Any "semi-permanent" solution for that so I can seal it up nicely and not have a permanent glue or something that can't be taken off if I choose to remove it?

Thanks all in advance!!

I didn't like the way things slid around on my spray in liner, so I bought one of those $40 stall mats from Tractor Supply and cut to fit. Very heavy duty, but didn't fit the bed perfectly. Then Ford gave some of us '24 owners $785 to spend on accessories because of some screwup with specifications on our axles. Had to spend it or lose it, so I got the Ford mat, and it's a perfect fit, no sliding of cargo. Somehow, I ended up getting it for free with my other purchases because of some additional discount at the time.

Here's a link where a guy used two stall mats and cut to fit the bed, edge to edge, using a bowtie joint to hold them together. The stall mat will provide the most protection as it is 3/4" thick and meant to have horses jumping around on it.

Hadn’t noticed any rubber smell after a couple of days, but my truck does have tonneau cover and sits outside so I don’t know that I’d smell it if it did still stink. Bought it 1 year ago.

I put this down on my bed before I put my tonneau cover on and no water leaks yet 👍

I have the plastic drop in bedliner and instead of a full bed mat I did a small mat that is made for the cargo area of an SUV to have something at the end so I can put items on it and them not slide around and then I can still put larger items behind it and slide them easily. My tri fold hard cover leaks ever so slightly so it's nice with the plastic liner the water gets in the grooves of the liner and then goes under the rubber mat I have and the edges of the mat are not up against the sides of the bed so no water gets on top of the mat. I think it was a Motortrend cut to fit mat that fit perfect in the back and around the wheel wells. I then have a 2x8 width wise in the groves of the liner sides to keep items near the tailgate and not moving around.

I didn't want a full mat that fit edge to edge so any water leaking in would be able to run in the grooves under the mat. I like the idea of the mats from Tractor Supply though so I will check that out.

I went with the Weathertech bed and tailgate.

I like that it is so much lighter than the heavy rubber mats, conserving payload and that it is contoured to fit the bed. Dirt doesn't get under it like more traditional mats.

As for stickiness, its kinda in between. Stickier than spray in but not quite traditional rubber.

Over the years, I learned that the best bed mats are the OEM models. I’ve always had a bed mat in a truck. The OEM Ford has always been the better.
I’ve tried liners like the husky, but they’re thin and cheap and about all they had for protection is against a little bit of dirt, but they’re pretty worthless for heavy. I need an objects.

The bedrug classic looks cool but I fell like my tool boxes and stuff will still slide on it. And If I can't solve the water issue, it will get wet which isn't ideal.
The polypropylene material that the BedRug is constructed from keeps your cargo in place so that there's no sliding. It's also non-absorbent, so you can spill oil, gas, battery acid, or dirt on the rug and easily wash it out with a hose.

There's different coverage options to add the right amount of protection for your truck bed. Feel free to PM me to check those out!
