Any news on when SecuriAlert will return?

I just spoke with FordPass support and SecuriAlert is officially "on hold" for everyone. If you have it working, you probably have an older version of Sync and/or the app. There's no timeline for it to be restored, but I suspect it is related to the "we can remotely disable your truck" functionality that was in the news recently.

Lame. I don't even have the option in the app. I didn't know it was a thing until this thread. 2022 model year.

I have never lost securilert and I have always been running the current version of FordPass. My phone gets notifications, as well. Albeit with a delay of a few minutes sometimes.

I've never understood the limitations of who's works and who's doesn't. It's not cut & dry, from what I can tell.

I for one have never seen this in my app
I don't even have a setting for it.

I'm like @Big Cam ; I've never even heard of it. Has never been in my FordPass, and I do think it would be cool to have. I'm sure some error allowed it through and they are "Fixing the Glitch." For some reason, my brain went to a scene in "Office Space".

I received this message from Ford’s product manager for FordPass/SecuriAlert - hopefully this clears it up. The fact that it is still working for some folks is indeed a “glitch”.

For the North America market it is unlikely that SecuriAlert will be returning. We have taken the tough decision to go away and re-engineer this feature to be the best that it can be, this takes some time. Sorry if this is not the answer you was hoping for

Is it coincidence that my truck is at the dealer and I've suddenly stopped getting Securialert notices? iOS Fordpass, still shows Securialert enabled, and I got a notification yesterday morning when they moved the truck. But the mileage has changed twice since then and I didn't get any alerts that the doors had been opened. Can the service techs disable alerts somehow?

It's not in for any SW updates, just two noises that they can't find the source of.

The service is being suspended overall. The fact that it still works for some people is because they likely have some outdated software in the mix. This is direct from the program manager at Ford.

Weird, mine have never stopped working. I did have an issue with iOS push notifications not working. Had to uninstall and reinstall, but was back in business immediately. Still working as of today.

Also, that's the standard product manager response of "It's not a priority, I have no idea when we're going to get to it, please go away." I've already sent two of those today

SecuriAlert was added to my truck via. OTA in June of 2021, Does anyone know if it was factory installed on the 21 J2 trucks, and to that idea was it loaded factory on the 22 and 23 trucks?
