Any news on when SecuriAlert will return?

@RickBullotta I lost SecuriAlert after doing the FDRS apim update to 22228 last fall. I've since moved to 22293 still nothing but it still functions on 22 trucks such as Snakebitten's same software. This leads me to believe it's functionality is still there in the software but was flipped off in the asbuilt during the 22228 fdrs update. I have save my asbuilt's thee days or so after each OTA, I will do an asbuilt compare tomorrow of my pre and post ab's after SecuriAlert was first installed in 21 via OTA, and then compare that to the ab post install of 22228 done in FDRS. Maybe this will lead us to an answer.

I think I know how you (and I) likely are looking at this. And the logic behind it certainly seems feasible.

Especially if Securilert stopped working with a specific module update!

But the gray area, for me at least, is the fact that Ford has communicated discouraging claims regarding. Although I probably shouldn't give too much credence to those communications since history has proven some of it to be gibberish and hogwash. ?

Do we know that the line is drawn by year model? Even that would seem odd since much of the software/hardware is the same between year models. (even though Ford definitely treats them independently often enough, without obvious reasons)

Ya, why would Ford talk about discontinuation yet still make it available in newly delivered trucks. If someone with a 2023 could chime in as to whether or not SecuriAlert is enabled on there truck that would be interesting to find out.

To be more exact SecuriAlert continued to function after the 22228 but apon doing a sync reset post install SecuriAlert alert was lost. Remember we were all trying to enable alexa and coolwalk / CarPlay. Guys that didn't reset maintained it. Those of us who did reset lost it.

This all leads me to believe that during the reset as the software loaded it read the ab and disabled SecuriAlert. I really think it's a forscan thing, but even Jesse can't figure it out.

Honestly, since I have good known dated ab data, we all might have a better chance of finding an answer if I send my ab data to one of the Forscan gurus. I just don't who, livinitup, tonesto7, antho?? These guys might figure it out.

On my 2016 f150 I have drone mobile. Way faster than ford pass in commands.
I used it to catch the service manager in a lie last week. Said they worked on it all day. Never started or moved the truck from the place I parked it. I got the repair done free.
Ford pass is sslooow. Thief would be in and gone 4 min b4 I got the alert.

Yea, lots of folks lost Securilert when they were chasing coolwalk and did full FordPass/Sync4 resets.

I wonder if similar to Bluecruise, for example, as well as Coolwalk, if regardless of the client-side "client" software, there's a server-side (clowd) setting and that users who have performed some procedure might have triggered that cloud setting inadvertently?

Or put another way, Ford really does intend to nix securilert, even if that just means they will replace it with a redesigned version in the future, but that they currently aren't turning it off for "legacy" users, but instead are not enabling it for new users, whether it's a brand new never owned F150, or a used F150 that has been unregistered by the previous owner?

Does Securilert have a server-side on/off switch?

Looks like my Secure Alert is about 16 seconds behind real time according to the time on my cameras. Close enough for me
