It's winter here. I often keep the truck running and use keypad to lock doors. If my phone is in my pocket when I return android auto says can't connect. I have to do a sync power reset. Or shut truck off and back on. Even if I go to connect phone screen it won't work. That one takes a long time.

What do I need to set so my android auto auto reconnect?

I typically go to the phone section of the settings (on Sync) and tell it to connect the Android Auto on the phone.

Ya but why do I have to do that? I have to scroll through menus?
Wouldn't it be better to have that pop straight up so all I have to do is tap the screen once?
I know fords engendering department is all DEA hires now.

You could possibly make that screen your custom one (bottom middle button)?

Would be nice if they wrote in some form of an auto-reconnect feature, once the phone is back in range.

Mine does the same. I found that it will eventually reconnect, just not the moment I get back in the truck (or back out of the driveway).

Mine does the same thing. It is very annoying. I usually end up shutting the truck off and briefly opening the door to shut it off completely, and then rsetarting it.
It reminds me of the old story if cars were made by Microsoft when the don't start, you'd have to roll all the windows down and back-up, get out of the car and then try to start it again.

Another Mickey Mouse Ford issue!
