So unfortunately someone decided to drill holes in my Truck’s gas tank. Very annoying situation but insurance is taking care of it. With that being said, are there any good aftermarket tank options over OEM? I have a 2021 powerboost. I looked online but found only diesel tanks for some reason and I’m sure I was not looking at the right ones. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Transfer Flow?
Titan?
I don't think there are many options for a 2021+ F150 aftermarket replacement gas tank.

There's also not much of a market because a 36 gallon gas tank (32 gallon for PB) isn't that bad for a factory gas tank.

There would be a much larger market for an aftermarket replacement of the 24 gallon gas tank in the GM 1500s.

You could use a tube of This stuff to seal up the holes in your tank if the holes are smaller than about 3/4 of an inch. I’ve used it in the past on cars I didn’t care about and they’re still holding up after many years.

it’s designed for dealing aircraft fuel tanks and is really good stuff, but it stinks and gets everywhere. Also have to make sure you mix it really well but it’s good stuff.

thirty-five years ago, I used JB Weld on the dripping tank of a '71 Plymouth.

It lasted longer than the car did (which was less than a year)

Aftermarket gas tanks don't meet the fuel emissions and vapor recovery requirements. No such issues with a diesel tank where these vapors are not present.

I wanted a truck with the larger gas tank but the dealers were not ordering trucks with them even when adding the max tow package. I found only two trucks in California that had the larger tank and the electronic locking rear differential. Unfortunately both were super crew cab trucks with a very long wheelbase.

PB gas tank is the 30g tank. These should be a dime a dozen at junkyards.

Looks like that old stealing gas is making a comeback, eh?

Sucks to hear, hopefully, they'll fix your stuff soon and get back on the road, man.

And they're often not good at it.

My E-150 was stolen (for the second time!) a couple of years ago, apparently to steal the cat.

They also cut the fuel line from the tank to steal fuel--but weren't to bright--even with the integral fuel pump working, the left well over half a tank!

Some organized crime just isn’t that well organized. Especially meth heads.

You're telling a lawyer about how dumb criminals are . . .

Hawkins First Law: Criminals are stupid. If they had what we generally think of as "average intelligence", we would be in big trouble.

Corollary to First Law: keeping separate prisons for white collar criminals is well worth the tax money it takes. If we locked them up with the blue collar folks, they would leave with a fresh gang.

The first law is a special case of the second:

Hawkins Second Law: There is no lower bound to human intelligence.

Corollary to Second Law: No matter how stupid a person you just met, a dumber one is waiting around the corner.

while I'm at it,

Hawkins Third Law: In the long run, there can only be as many $300,000 homes in an area as there are people who can afford to lie in $300,000 houses.

Corollary to Third Law: When median housing price goes above what median income can afford, you are in a bubble.
