All, I've figured this out for 2025MY

I came across this site which allows you to download the As-Built file based on your vehicle's VIN. I then went and searched ford's site for a vehicle that is the same as mine, but with the FX4 package. I got both files together, formatted, and did a text compare to view the ABS module settings of the FX4 vs my own vehicle.

Interestingly enough, these are the only differences between the two vehicles. Top value is non-FX4, second value is FX4

ABS 760-03-01 (SS states Without PIB ==> With PIB)
9C0E E180 7FF5
9C2E E180 7F15

- PIB = Pro Power Onboard, I have 7.2kw PP, not sure why my third digit is 0

ABS 760-03-02 (missing from SS / Unknown)
0000 6C
4000 AC

ABS 760-04-03 (missing from SS / Unknown)
0000 2000 6BF9
0000 2002 6BFB

To enable HDC and Rock Crawl mode on my 2025 PB, I adjusted the known value IPC - 720-10-01 - x9xx to xBxx and then adjusted the three above values. Because this is specific to my powerboost with 7.2kw pro power, I suggest anyone looking to do this does the same so you can have the specific before-after values.

ABS 760-03-02 and 760-04-03 missing from the spreadsheet are the values we want. The values listed previously no longer apply to 2025MY.

These are the spreadsheet values that did not work for my 2025
  • ABS 760-03-01 *xxx -- - enable HDC if your default value is "4" then change to "6", if your default is "D" then change to "F"
  • ABS 760-04-01 xxxx xx8x xx-- enables Rock Crawl drive mode

So it would seem the person from Reddit is actually not smarter than you!

I have a 2025 302A XLT Non-FX4 and followed Rozzly's changes (verified via comparison to an identical spec truck with FX4) and I now have rock crawl mode as well.

Switch SW9022 was the correct one for me as well, but I only have one button above my display. It seems the earlier build 2025 trucks and 2024's have way more buttons above the display.

Mine is a 3.5 Ecoboost drivetrain FYI.

Hi all. I have a 2021 xlt with this buttons. Which is the correct one for my trim?
Thank you.

I have a '23 XLT. This is not the standard setup, but what worked best for me.

FYI- A mobile ford tech came to my house to perform some recall updates. The values set for HDC and Rock Crawl mode were reset back to factory. Any idea if this can be made permanent?

I figured out how to enable HDC (Hill Descent Control) & Rock Crawl driving mode to a non-FX4 4WD. This mod requires the following:

1. The HDC button - in my case it's the split button for HDC & Traction Control p/n: SW8524 / ML3Z-13D730-RA (Note this matches the trim in my Platinum and the p/n for an XLT would be different)

2. Terminals for HDC connector C2304 - pin 4 (female) and inline connector C214 - pin 12 (female) located behind the A/C controls. The Ford part #'s for these terminals are WT1001 & WT1002. These two terminals can be spliced/soldered together and end up being a good length to reach from C2304 to C214.

3. The following FORScan programming (ignore whatever you have where the x's are -
see my spreadsheets here)
IPC 720-10-01 x*xx xxxx xx-- enable HDC Control Function (HDCCF) if your default value is "A" then change to "B"
ABS 760-03-01 *xxx -- - enable HDC if your default value is "4" then change to "6", if your default is "D" then change to "F"
ABS 760-04-01 xxxx xx8x xx-- enables Rock Crawl drive mode

4. Lots of patience removing a lot of trim pieces to access everything. Note: your existing Traction Control Switch is held in place by the protruding prongs on the sides of the switch (see 3rd pic below) and they must be squeezed to push the switch forward out of the trim cutout.

Edit: added the trim removal directions and modified the order of the pdf instructions and removed unnecessary steps.

Edit: My original post stated a male terminal for C214 but I have become aware that it should've been female so the post has been updated to reflect that.
Just to clarify, the jumpers go in the pins pointed out in the above post and then are spliced together? Basically just creating a jumper between those 2 pins?

Just a guess, but i would bet via FDRS, if you ran TRON, it would permanently set the values. When I installed my new SCCM for my heated wheel and, changed values via Forscan and then ran TRON as I didn't think it was working, it now shows my new values, set via Forscan, as my "as built" values on the Motorcraftservice.com site.

Some module updates in FDRS include asbuilt changes but others don't. If you save your changes after doing a particular change in FORScan and then get a module update that changes it you can revert the changes back and it will stay. TRON doesn't permanently set any asbult values; it's only used when replacing factory modules with different ones so doesn't apply here.
