I paid dealer 8 dollars for 1 WT1002 and 25 for 5 WT1001 as they would not ship the 1001 and sell it seperately.

I did this mod and I have both sets of wires. I can sell 3 sets. One of each wire. If anyone is interested, PM me.

Finally got around to installing the button and terminals today. While the terminals are probably meant to be installed from the front of the connector, I was able to get both in from the rear. I figured out the orientation they were supposed to go and they went right in, mostly. I used a terminal tool to get the one seated fully, connector behind the HVAC panel. The one for the button, I flipped 180° as it was tough going in, but easy once flipped.

I did get a surprise when I opened ForScan too. The IPC change was already applied, even though I don't recall making the change before. Rock Crawl is now a drive mode option and Hill Descent brings the popup on the IPC. Now to find a place to test both to see if more than just the graphics are working.

Did you guys use the metal crimp tubes that came in the bags with WT1002 & WT1001 to connect both WT1002 & WT1001 wires together or did you just strip the sheathing a bit of each wire and twist the wire strands together solder and usse heat shrink?

I never even considered "Hill Decent" when I ordered my truck.

I paid the extra 50 bucks for the Snow Plow option so I could have a factory button on my dash to activate aftermarket lights.

I was a little disappointed when my truck was delivered with a Hill Decent button where my "Snow Plow" switch was supposed to be.

...until I used Hill Decent!

It's worth jumping through the hoops to install it.

Man oh man, getting the terminal wires in is tough. I got the 4-pin switch wire in. I'm having no success with the larger D connector. I've taken the white locking cover off. I've identified the lead's location. I don't see how the wire goes in. It is much thicker than the other wires. The factory wires measure about 0.043" (outside of sheathing). The new lead is almost twice as thick as 0.070" thick. I just don't see how that fits in from the front of the connector.

Below is the wire lead I received labeled as shown in the picture. I'm having a devil of a time getting it into the connector. I'm trying from the front and from the back. Any helpful ideas?

I lifted an existing lead out just a bit to compare. They sure look different to me, but according to what I was sent this lead goes in this big D connector.

I guess I'm going to have to tear into the top switch and remove that new lead and do a closer inspection. Maybe the leads were mislabeled. Son-of-a-gun.

EDIT: I'M QUITE SURE TASCA MISMARKED THE PARTS BAGS. I swapped the leads. I put BA/1001 at the switch. It went in easily whereas before it did not. I put CA/1002 in the big D connector. Being a smaller wire it too went right in. ??? this all works now.

2nd EDIT: After having gotten all the hardware installed my PC and OBDlink MX decided not to play nice with one another. The good side of YouTube solved this problem. I now have the better part of the FX4 package on my CCD equipped truck.

Did anyone figure out the part number for the hazard / HDC button with the silver accent?

Hello - Need some wiring help.

I have a 21 F-150 302A and trying to get the HDC working but I am not sure what switch I need at this point. I pulled apart my dash and wired up the missing wire in pin 12 but if I follow Livnitup's recommendation and wire to pin 4 this is in my traction control only switch and not using the hazard/HDC switch that I thought the XLT uses. I ordered ML3Z-13D730-CB thinking this was the correct switch, there are a couple of empty pins in the current hazard switch (1, 2 and 6 I believe). Can someone with access to the wiring diagrams tell me what pin needs to be wired with the hazard/HDC switch rather than using the traction control only switch?

Figured it out in case anyone else wants to use the Hazard/HDC switch.

Everything is working as expected with the following setup:
C214 - pin 12 ==> C2039 - (INSTRUMENT PANEL CENTER STACK MIDDLE SWITCH) - pin 2

Easy install on my ‘21 Lariat PB 502a. My Forscan changes were slightly different but easy to figure out with your spreadsheet. Thanks for the write up!

By chance does anyone have a set of wires they'd like to sell? Thought I'd throw it out there before I have to buy a set of 5 of each. PM me if you do.

Thanks

Unfortunately, I do not. I ordered from different dealerships this summer, but only received one wire with each of the orders.
