Update. I'm way closer now. I can see it showing up in my dash but still getting a few errors. I dug a little deeper and thanks to AI I think I may have figured this out. My 2023 F150 XLT has a the following in the BCM forscan settings ASBUILT for

Module: BCM
Address: 726-16-01
Values: C110 4088 603D
88=EFC GAS • CC CRUISE_CONTROL
6=CMBB COLLISION_MITIGATION_GEN_2

I wondered if having CMBB COLLISION_MITIGATION_GEN_2 vs GEN_3 changes how I should set the
following value xxxx xx** xx-- 90 or "EFC GAS • CC ADAPTIVE_CRUISE_CONTROL_STOP_GO"

so I asked AI

hopefully this works. I'm about to go test the change from 90 to 8C and see if AI is right.
88 = EFC GAS • CC CRUISE_CONTROL
8C = EFC GAS • CC ADAPTIVE_CRUISE_CONTROL
90 = EFC GAS • CC ADAPTIVE_CRUISE_CONTROL_STOP_GO

You should be able to set it to ACC with Stop and Go as all the other setting should allow that. I recall now, maybe someone else had to set it to Gen_3 as well, and/or maybe I did just messing around with things and set mine to Gen_3. But would makes sense since you have a 23.

If your CCM is showing up and everything is happy there now you must have got your wiring figured out. I follow now, you were prewired in the cab or engine bay, but not vice versa looks like. So that why you had to go straight from the CCM to IPMA essentially.

Wow! Your GPT deal is pretty fricken cool. Those are the best explanations I've ever seen of those as I've had to read between the lines for years to figure out what is what exactly and what all the acronyms mean. Do share if you can.

thanks for replies... quick question on forscan settings. My Asbuilt shows the following settings for 702-02-01 (decoded with chatgpt)

  • FCTSRM OFF: Traffic sign recognition is turned off.
  • FCLKSMK ON: Lane keeping system marker keep is turned on.
  • FCLKSS Non_EuNCAP: Lane keeping system is not compliant with Euro NCAP standards.
  • FCDPACWRC Absent: Pedestrian and animal collision detection and response capability is absent.
Does adding the CCM module (part ML3Z-9E731-G) support FCDPACWRC or Pedestrian and animal collision detection? I was going to keep traffic sign recognition off too.

I believe you need the front BLIS sensors for the pedestrian and animal collision detection, but I could be wrong.

Thank you. This makes sense now. I verified using my asbuilt that I only have the rear blis sensors

Thanks I wouldn't have even attempted without reading all your notes and posts. Thank you. Currently I have it recognizing the CCM in the dash but I'm still throwing 3 IPMA DTCs that may have something to do with my forscan values or I could actually have a short in my wiring. I de-pinned the 4 wires from C134 and spliced directly to my CCM (using part of new harness I removed) because I needed to order the pins for C134.

You need to have the CCM configured as present as that is what you added.
You might also need to have TSR enabled in the the IMPA for everything to be happy. You leave it disabled in the IPC.

OK.. update. I looked closer at C242B and looks like even though I have the 4 wires in C134 they aren't connected to the IPMA (C242B). I guess it means if they exist it doesn't mean that they are wired to 242B...so in short I just need to go from CCM straight to the missing slots in C242B (IPMA). I'll need to buy the 4 pins, take the very very small C242B connector apart and hopefully not break anything and splice in my 4 CCM wires to the new pins and re-pin to 242. I think I saw the part numbers in page 20 or so of this forum post.

Here's a diagram that may make more sense. I don't see any other way to connect to my IPMA

Anyone pinned CCM straight to IPMA (C242B) using these pins and can someone confirm these are the right size DU2Z-14474-CA DU2Z14474CA Genuine Ford Part (fordpartsgiant.com)

Thanks
Yes, that's why you check this connector first and if you aren't prewired to it, you need to make your own harness to run straight from the CCM to this IPMA connector. Many have done it in the same scenario and looks like that what's you need to do as well. Yes those are the correct terminals you need.

Thanks... sorry one more dumb question. So after I splice the pigtail wires to the CCM. Do these pins just insert into C242B or do I need to remove the retainer and take the connector apart at all? Looks like I can just plug them straight in to respective slots Terminal DU2Z-14474-CA | Ford Parts Center (fordpartsoem.com) .and they will seat themselves?
