Am getting set to do the CCM install in the next month. I have ordered front sensors and the harness that supports them since I figured it was a good time to do it.

Seems like there's varying reports of being able to use them. @Jesse-Infotainment we're sure that 22's don't support front parking sensors? I don't want to order/paint the sensors if they won't ever work.

Thanks!
.
My 22j1 XLT has all 4 front parking sensors on it and they work (from factory). If your IPMA doesn't have the lin chips for the front sensors, it's still likely fully wired for it, so getting a 21 or early 22 IPMA will turn them on.

Gotcha. I don't think I'm in it financially for swapping out the IPMA as well. Is there a way for me to tell if my IPMA has the lin chips? I have 360 cams and pro backup in a 302A XLT.

Oh and one last question for the day is about bumper removal to do the harness and CCM. I've seen videos where they start "top down" and remove the grill. I've also seen videos where they start at the colored trim piece below the headlights and then just remove the 6 bolts holding the bumper. The second method obviously seems more straightforward. Can I avoid taking off the grill?

Thanks!

Was contemplating getting the harness with the parking sensors just in case I ever get an itch to swap out the IPMA... still undecided. Ask @Jesse-Infotainment to check your VIN; he did mine and confirmed my IPMA serial number is the rear only. Here's to hoping yours is not!

Oh great to know it can be checked! VIN is: 1FTFW1ED7NFB83640 if you wouldn't mind checking @Jesse-Infotainment

Take off the grill, trust me. Not difficult and makes getting to a couple of the bumper nuts possible.

Jesse got back to me and unfortunately, I don't have the chips in my IPMA to support the front park sensors, but that's ok with me. I really just want ACC and lane centering.

For those of you who have done this, is the best method to go "top down" in superfordman's spreadsheet and update one module at a time from the top of the sheet to the bottom, or is there a better order of operations?

I know I have to scan the truck as a new vehicle once the CCM/harness is in place for the CCM to show up, but I've read about doing some resetting of the APIM before making other Forscan changes and then others who have just updated everything sequentially.

Where does calibrating the CCM fit into the process?

Just want to give myself the best chance of getting it right the first time.

IPMA first, which will then provide power to the CCM so it shows up in the next scan you do with Forscan. The rest of the changes you can go in order of the spreadsheet (or any order). Calibration will come after everything is installed and back together and the CCM has been leveled (or checked for level, some have reported that it didn’t need any adjustment after installing). The steps for leveling it are floating around as an attachment somewhere in this thread but it’s basically putting a level on the flat front surface and adjusting so the front face is perpendicular to the ground (horizon).

When you say IPMA first, is that a reset or make all the changes in the sheet under IPMA section?

Changes first, then you can reboot the module and do a new network scan and the CCM should pop up after that.

Question for clarification: Is the wiring connector shown added by the new wiring harness?
Ford F-150 Adding Co-Pilot Assist 2.0 with Forscan? 1712545441031-64

I haven't ordered yet because I ended up owing for taxes  and it's gonna have to wait a little bit. So i was on my back rummaging around the bumper and current wiring harness to compare to diagrams. Just making sure I understand what is being added when I do finally get the parts. TIA.

Yes, if you replace the bumper harness with the new one that connector will be there. Make sure you're prewired at the IPMA connector first, if so you'll just need the bumper harness.
