I seem to recall that it is no longer defined as intelligent adaptive cruise control.
Correct, when you enable PSA, it essentially replaces/one ups Traffic Sign Recognition, and if your case since you have a 23 it should work as it sits right now.

I am wondering if and when I get the front level do I need to recalibrate the sensor?
Is there a similar calibration for the above windshield camera?
Glad you go it up and going that easy. You want to do the CCM calibration if you haven't yet, maybe it starting working for you right away if you got a second hand CCM? No need to recalibrate the windshield camera unless something isn't working right.

You should have leveled the CCM before calibrating it. After the physical installation, my CCM didn’t need any leveling adjustment. That said, yours seems to be happy since it’s working.

Hey @johnhbrandon , I don't recall "leveling" the CCM or even having the ability too. Its just bolted in. I do recall "calibrating" it. Am I missing something here and just got lucky mine was levelish?

Sounds good! Will try tomorrow when I go to the office if it detects and adjusts the speed on it self.

Nope, it didn't work on its own. I certainly did the calibration. In fact, I had to do it 3 times as I was getting the VIN written wrong on the CCM(something to do with the checksum). But I did figure it out and then was finally able to complete the calibration.

The easy part was that I read the whole thing and the suggestions you guys gave were just precisely to the point. Well not to mention your Excel sheet with the changes for the 501a. For all the help guys can't appreciate it enough.

I looked at it frankly and did not do any leveling as it seemed leveled. On the other hand, I had no idea how to level it as it was just locked at the position on the bracket. Thankfully it just worked.

In the CCM bracket, there’s a torx head adjustment screw that requires a torx socket. The leveling adjustment is for vertical adjustment only and is outlined in Ford’s documentation. As I mentioned, after installing my CCM, I checked it for level and it needed no adjustment. Below is a link to a rundown on how to do it that was covered in another thread. In this thread, the respondents are arguing about whether CCM leveling needs to be re-done dependent upon truck loading, but the accepted procedure is outlined despite the surrounding rhetoric. But it should be checked after the initial installation to be certain it is level after which the calibration is performed. Since many of us purchase a previously owned CCM, it would be prudent to check for level. https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/thr...u-re-aligned-your-cruise-control-module.5358/

Has anyone heard from @Imnotthatsmart lately? He was on the verge of getting ACC working then he just vanished. I think he mentioned he was going to be out of touch for 3 weeks. Maybe this will ping him since he's mentioned in this post.

I’m still here. I never got it leveled though. I tried my best to level it, drive it around to calibrate it, and it still came back as not leveled. The whole reasoning for me doing this add on was so I could use Comma AI. I’ve since hooked that up and absolutely love it. I’ve been slammed lately but I still want to tinker with leveling the CCM and cleaning a bunch of the codes. Maybe the winter months will slow things down.

Since Comma doesn’t yet officially support the F150, I haven’t pursued it. But you said you’re using it and love it. Which version are you using? I’ve heard of some using the Explorer version with success. I get where you’re going with ACC since it helps Comma with some basic speed control functions, etc.

I’m using the C3X. I think the fork is called ford comfort. Doesn’t recognize stop signs, doesn’t make hard turns, etc. interstate does great. Above 30ish MPH does good as well. Unlike ford, it will recognize no lines and still keep straight where the ford would just disconnect.

Comma in its 'unofficial' release outperforms fords 'official' release by leaps and bounds. I think you're leaning too heavy on nomenclature they choose to use.

After almost 4 days of successful CCM upgrade and no issues while using, I went ahead to save all my as built so that if ever any update or something removes my CCM upgrade I can go back.
While connecting Got a DTC for Ipma.

any idea what that is ? Though its not there anymore.
