Discovering the 4th state of matter can be an electrifying experience :ROFLMAO:

I do want to hear this story though. I do always suggest disconnecting that wire in the passenger kick panel. It's got a solar style dually protected connector design so that when it's disconnected neither connector side can be shorted to ground.
It takes literally 30s to disconnect the battery under the hood. I won't forget to do that again. Hoping to get some better weather this weekend to gut the box and install the new battery.

Interesting that I ran the truck for two days without the 2nd battery installed without any sign that it was an issue.

Yeah, it's simply to keep the DC/DC from under/over volting during the ICE firing for that ~1 second the isolator is open. The fact ford has kept it means somewhere they saw something, even a remotely calculated possibility that it may be needed. Maybe DC/DC fails and isolator sticks open, provides just enough power to safely pull over?

It's easier for me to enter the kick panel than it is to yank open the BCMC side cover. I'd prefer to keep the rest of the 12v alive vs killing the under-hood batt too.

Ok, got the AGM out and the Lifepo4 installed. No magic smoke. Hope it was worth the effort.

It'll be the same operation sans the low power mode showing up and the factory H7 AGM will appear to last a lot longer as its always fully charged.

years ago, I had a Mac SE/30 in my office, near the end of its screen. It was the basic original size Mac with the fastest desktop processor available at the time it came out.

Anyway, the tip of the tube had broken off, but I was using an external 17" monitor (huge for the time!), and it needed the tab on the floppy injector bent a bit more every few months to work.

As the cap was off the tube, I reached in while running (it normally ran without a case by then, due to overheating) to tweak the tab.

I had completely forgotten that the high voltage was on the sides of a cat.

A zap, and I heard the beginnings of my yip, and then suddenly there were a bunch of secretaries around me, looking down.

Fortunately, those 9" tubes only had 8kv at the yoke.
