I don’t know the part number I found the panel I needed on eBay I did however notice that super duty and expeditions 22 and up are the same panels. My suggestion is ether look on eBay for one or find a vehicle on auto trader that has the correct switch locations you need and copy the vin to look up the part you need. The panel I found came outta 22 expedition I just swapped over my switches to it.

Thanks for the advice. I was finally able to find the bezel on the ford website and confirmed that p/n with a used vehicle VIN that looks to have the trim panel I need. Looks like I can order both the bezel and switch from a local dealer for about $92 plus tax.

Would love to hear feedback from others that have done the installation and any additional thoughts/guidance you have. Overall doesn't look that bad, except I don't like the idea of cutting and replacing/rerunning the one wire.

I have the panel and the tailgate switch. The harness is behind the panel. Simply plugging in the harness to the tailgate release switch doesn’t enable it. There must be a setting that can be done in FORScan to enable the interior tailgate release button.
Any idea how to find that bit in FORScan? I assume it’s in the BCM

This is all great info and something I really want to do to my 25 Platinum Plus PB...the problem I am running into is the trim panel...is anyone aware of the correct trim panel for the smoked truffle interior...if there even is one?

If you see my post #58 I explain how to do this I went down the rabbit hole of forscan and even found the exact same 2024 speced truck as my 25 to compare as build info and no luck I’m sure someone more tech savvy than me might know how to get it to work with forscan but i couldn’t. So I went to plan B and traced down the actual tailgate release button wiring cause it was easier than figuring out sw coding.

BTW That plug you found is for the auto stop start button for non-powerboost trucks.

I presume the tailgate doesn't have power-up function? Have you tried this? BCM:

that plug on my 2023 was attached to the tailgate release button. I checked before I traded it in and was able to get the part number to help with this fix. I guess it’s possible it has multiple uses depending on the trucks config.

The most likely candidate is PLCF in the IPC. If all the above are already set this way, I'll have to delve deeper.

Here is the comparison on my truck vs a 2024 with the active tailgate release. On those bits I'm an exact match. Unless I can change any of those to something, I don't think we are there yet.
