I can confirm that this part number given SL3Z-3F791-BA also works for me too. Ran the TRON and it went successfully less than 5 mins. Was able to do forscan to load the factory as built and used superfordman's sheet. Then I got a working heated steering wheel in......summer time.

As a followup, it looks like the 2024 trucks (at least XL and XLT) need a different HVAC setting changed. I chatted with @TheDudeee who confirmed the same. Instead of 733-01-02, I needed this change:

HVAC - Vehicle contains a HSW 733-01-04 - xxxx xxx4 xxxx - (My original Value: 0)

to anyone who has had a new SCCM authenticated for the heated steering wheel upgrade how was the process, my local ford service center has been giving me some push back, saying it may not work because it was not part of the "as Built" based on my VIN. Also that it could be "Hours" $$$ to do it correctly.
any help would be great.

Not sure exactly how the process will go for me, but when I do it, I'm going to buy or rent a mongoose cable, pay for the 2 day FDRS license and try to do it at home.

Steering Wheel Module: Internal Electronic Failure

This DTC sets when there is an Internal Electronic Failure in the SCCM . This may happen due to a fault on the heated steering wheel circuit.

Is the heated steering wheel working for you? You might want to recheck the wirings and check the powers for pin 2 from the new connector.

Nope, TRON will take care of that. It is checking all of the current and new modules then correct and register to the vehicle.

I am pretty sure that the tech will tell you after TRON that the tech is unable to do PMI on it because of different part number.

Yes, I used the same one on my 2025 XLT and it worked well. Big thanks to TheDudeee for all of the insight, help and tips.
