5th time in 1 month of ownership. Going back tomorrow for more disappointment. They can’t diagnose something that throws no codes but the stupidity continues. Shame on Ford. Worst truck in 35 years

Hi,

Are you able to start it after leaving the truck in accessory mode 3 to 5 min.

What you described happened to me twice. Both times, the FOB had spent the night within about 3 meters of the truck (night at the motel). No code left behind in Forscan both times.

Has not done it again in 5 months since i realized that. I assume the proximity of the FOB forces the truck to stay awake and reduce the SOC of the 12v battery system. Leaving it in acc mode allows the high voltage battery to increase the 12v system voltage enough where the truck allows you to start.

Just a hypothesis. I could not verify it with Forscan or a voltmeter during the events.

I've posted on a different thread about my experience with this issue. I've had my '23 Powerboost two weeks now, and week two was spent with the truck in the shop. The service advisor told me the hybrid tech when through their various debugging flowcharts and nothing unusual was found. There were two software updates which were related and those were installed yesterday. Interesting that FordPass and the website said I was "All set!" with software updates when I checked during the problems last week. They' kept it overnight and drove it this morning and so far it's been OK. Just got a call that it's ready to pick up. Fingers crossed...

Ford F-150 Accessory mode. Stop safely now 1689950852110

1988 with a 351 Windsor. Sweet truck, but in our love of nostalgia we soon forget the cracked exhaust manifolds. Leaking timing covers and rear mains. Coolant leaks and overheating issues. The valve and ring jobs. 80k miles was considered high mileage back then.

Not to mention it would struggle to keep up with todays V6 base model F-150. Beautifully kept up memory from my youth though.

Update. The dealer said in multiple instances that the switches behind the start button are causing this. Going to replace both. Fingers crossed ?‍♂?‍♂?‍♂
