I had this happen 2 days ago as I was about to leave work. I was planning to leave the Truck at the office for the night and deal with it in the morning so I got keys for a spare company vehicle and just before I was about to leave I figured I would try it one more time. This time it started, no engine light. This was about 40 min since I originally tried. I drove it home but stopped at a local Ford dealer near home to book an appointment to have it looked at. Earliest they had was July 12th. Not sure if this is a coincident or not but the day before I was notified by Ford Pass that an update was installed. I also got a message on Ford Pass in the morning that my Truck was going into deep sleep to preserve the battery for not being started for a while, even though I had just driven it to work an hour before. When I went for lunch the Truck was fine but a few hour later it would not start.

At the moment the truck is driving without issue....
I don't think I have missed a single post related to the not starting/Stop Safely issue(s).

I REALLY hope to get some understanding of it to at least be able to narrow it down to a solid list of possible culprits.

So far the only thing I'm convinced of is although both could very much be related, it doesn't look like it's a single absolute cause. Or put another way, while a 12V glitch can trigger the malady, it's not necessarily a weak AGM issue.

Process of elimination though certainly requires addressing a potential weak 12V system.

I’ve had a similar issue a month ago. The truck is barely 4 months old. Hopefully we get some answers as the dealer couldn’t find anything wrong. No codes triggered…

Ugh! Happened to me as well on Thursday around 1800! Mine is a 22 PB. Stuck in the shop in Frisco Texas. I'm sure the problems are compounded by the fact that the tow company pulled the truck on its own tires. Ford telling me that it may be 30 days before they can even touch it. No Loaners on it either. 3000 miles driven.

Just dropped my Truck of at the dealer. Since I hade the issue of course the Truck has been fine. Lets see what they find, if anything.

I don't like defending the current state of automotive factory service industry, but I don't expect them to be much help with diagnosing a problem with a vehicle that isn't presenting to them a problem.

A few days ago I got 4.2.3. 23 PB. Also got stop safely now message. Truck wont start. Waited 20 minutes and all was OK. Never did get a Ford pass alert.

Dealership had my Truck for over 7 hours and never looked at it. Based on all the people dropping of vehicles in the morning, they were completely overbooked. Ended up just picking the Truck up. No idea what to do now. Truck has been fine since the original no start issue but....

This seems to be the typical way this issue has been going. Truck doesn't start for x amount of time, seemingly out of the blue. Then magically fixes itself and starts right up. Dealers find no codes or anything to indicate an issue (if they get around to looking at it). Now you can cross your fingers every time you push the start button like the rest of us. :)
