Well after a 650 mile road trip to visit my folks and to attend a memorial, I am currently sitting in St. Louis with a truck that flashes ABS and Pre-collision Unavailable every time I touch the brakes. It throws a code: C101F:49 - Generic Valve Failure: Internal Electronic Failure. I have called several dealers in the area and no one can get me in to even touch the truck for at least a week, several told me 4-5 weeks. I am supposed to be heading back to New Orleans this weekend. I am beyond frustrated because the truck is approaching the 36,000 mile mark. Service advisor at one dealership said it should be ok to drive just use caution.

I have seen were a few people have had this issue. What was the outcome if you had this issue?

I am trying to get in touch with my dealership in New Orleans, but I haven't heard back. @ford what is the deal with service these days? I guess the new normal is to wait weeks to get service.

Sorry to hear you`re also in the barrel. The new normal these days is Ford R&D can`t hit their ass with both hands and then release trucks with problems built in. This overwhelmes service departments, plain and simple. After a year and a half, they`re still fixing stuff on my truck. Over 55 years of buying Ford pickups and I`ve never had a recall. I`ve now got recall notices stacked up at the house like cordwood. I`m in the process of ditching mine and ordrering another brand before 36K miles. Do you think an OTA update crashed your truck? I can just see some Ford monkey banging away on a keyboard in Detroit. Scares me to get those. Good luck getting home. I know your situation fairly well. GLTA

Good afternoon. I'd like to look into your truck's brake issues on my end. To get started, can you please send over a private message with your VIN and the name/location of the Ford dealer you are currently working with?

My truck is doing the exact same thing. Can't get to the dealership for 4 weeks. If you find out the problem please update. Thanks

Well I took it to the dealer this morning. Last week I was put into contact with someone in the Ford Customer service department. About two hours later I received a call from my dealer saying they need to replace the ABS/Booster Module. They had to order the part and it will be here tomorrow. Ford Customer service must have lit a fire because that was the quickest turn around on a vehicle I have ever had.

Here is a video of my 2021 F150 crew cab xl 4wd doing the same thing. Can't get into the dealer until the 29th of August. Showing a DTC of C101F-49. I removed the right front wheel and verified no loose connections. I assume its either a bad abs module or speed sensor. It doesn't do it every time I hit the brakes but it does 85% of the time. Seems to be worse in the mornings or when wet or humid but that may be a coincidence. This started happening about 1 week ago.

Hello, Chad! Can you send us a message with your VIN and Ford dealership name? I’ll look into this on my end.

I just wanted to give a quick update. Truck was fixed yesterday. I can confidently say that they resolved the ABS issue. They ended up replacing the entire electronic brake booster module and ABS module because it is one piece. Total days and shop work to thanks to Ford customer service for getting involved. I was quite shocked by how quickly this was resolved.

Brakes, strangely feel better than they were before. I think there’s less effort on the pedal, but this could all be in my head.

This just happened to me today. Two problems together:

Came up while driving. I tried resetting the codes via OBD2 / Forscan but they come back even without moving the truck.

Symptom:
The collision warning system has detected either a system fault or an obstructed radar sensor.

Symptom:
The brake system has detected an issue with the signal from the Rear Wheel Speed Sensor LH

Going to take it to the dealership. 807 miles on the truck.

Crap I'm just seeing this thread, sorry. I had this exact same problem last year with my truck and it was fixed with a new ABS module. It was SUPER annoying to have the error pop up literally every single time the brake pedal was pushed.

Got mine back from the dealership after 5 days. They replaced the booster/abs module. It's all one part now that cost 1900 dollars. Anyway was repaired under warranty and seems to have fixed the problem.
