I noticed that I have the same issue. When I am at HWY speeds and close to a vehicle in front I see the light come on. I cleaned the windshield made no difference. Well. 477 miles and today 1 month old. I will take it in when I get a chance. hopefully something minor. But pretty frustrating on a brand new truck. I thought maybe it was because I changed out the Factory basic rear view mirror with a wolfbox dashcam mirror. but even when I changed it back, it did not make any difference.

does it only do it when you are close to another vehicle on the highway? If so that is normal. It’s basically telling you that you are too close for the pre collision to work.

Yes 100%. Thank you for that info.

It only lights up when someone pull out in front and is closer than normal when they do that or my "experiment" today, I was almost tailgating a few folks. and managed to get it to pop up and stay on until I increased the distance.

I get nothing like this on any of my other vehicles. (TRX, JL 392, or Armada) that have these Safety Sensor stuff. The Armada is the worst it will pre-emptively brake.

The other frustration here in the Houston Area is that 3 of the dealers I talked to said they are 3 to 4 days back up on electrical issues with vehicles. So even If I book an appointment, I would be leaving it there for 4 days....

Sounds to me like it is working like normal. When I was having issues it was on constantly.

My question is then how does it actually work? I know in my Nissan, if It senses the vehicle in front is slowing down and the distance is closing it will beep, and then if it get too close it will cut the accelerator. In my TRX I have had it stop me dead when backing out when it thought my cone was a person or something....

On the infotainment screen go to Driver Assistance

Pre-collision assistance must be on, distance indication and evasive steering can be turned off. This got rid of the light for me. Sensitivity on low.

I don't want assistance with a collision. I can collide if I want to. If this doesn't work I will look into loose connections and/or ForScan

Hope you can view this video. The light goes on and like this constantly while behind another vehicle, and I'm not that close. I've played around the pre-collision assist settings in the infotainment. It makes no difference.

To me, the car is warning me that the Pre-Collision assist is NOT available when it should be, hence the warning light.
I feel like this is a fault.

Ross0001 your symbol means what you think it means. It could be as simple as the front window is dirty at the top in front of where the rear view mirror is located (interfering with the forward camera view) or the radar sensor is blocked by the recent addition of a winch or something, or one of these is defective.
