I don't have a PB and mine is a 24' XLT 302A, but one of the reasons mine is in the shop is because of this. On the way home from dealership (ink on loan not even dry) pre-collision popped up and turned off adaptive cruise. Had 60 miles at the time. They are currently replacing all the sensors. After that will calibrate the system and 360 cams.

Here's the interesting thing. My rental just started the same issue. Pre-collision light on as I speak. Called dealership and service manager said ..... Sob!

so i got mine fixed after the ford dealer could not fix it and blamed it on my lift kit and and stance and my aftermarket bumper. and wanted to charge me $ 1,500 but i only paid $500.00 for nothing .. so i took it to the autobody shop local local owned and operated by the owners, been around since the late 70's anyway they adjusted my front bumper sensor and did some tech stuff to the truck? and no more pre collision not available everytime i start the truck, and the REAL FIX COST was $ 585.00 and it only took 1 DAY
I have a 4" BDS lift kit made in U.S.A. fox race shocks adjustable and 20" x 18- x 9" rims and 35" falkin wildpeak 4"s and FABFOURS vengeance front and rear bumpers made in U.S.A. and FORD wanted to blame me and my truck BECAUSE THEY DONT KNOW HOW TO FIX STUFF and make me/you feel guilty of everything thats wrong and NOT THE ford technician and the engineers.. there are people who can fix problems the problem is you have to FIND them, my fix was in so,cal, o.c. 92630

Would you mind d telling me the shop? We swapped for 275/60/20 with 2024 f150 STX sitting beside it at the dealer who said no problem, but nothing but problems that started at 600 miles from purchase and supposedly NO fix from Ford - told to see if dealer has original tires- it’s ridiculous - Ford needs some help!

Not who you replied to but I recently added a level to my truck and got the pre-collision error pop up after driving a little bit. I followed the steps in the Ford Performance install instructions on how to calibrate the sensor and no issues since.

I haven't added ACC to my truck yet (scheduled spring project). However, I have received said warning on two instances. First, direct low level sunlight. Second, the camera near the rear view mirror on the windshield is obstructed by either mud or a dead insect.

Thank you- it’s been ongoing since 600 miles- no cruise control, no collision assist. Been in 3-4 different Ford dealers- it’s been a nightmare! I appreciate your help- thank you

Hey Guys! My name is Jose and I am brand new to the forum. I came across this thread this week after experiencing some frustration at my local dealer. I'm having similar issues as you guys with a similar story from the dealer and don't know what to do next.

I have a 2023 F-150 XL 4x4 with the 5.0. Almost immediately after getting it, I tinted the windows. Shortly after, I put a 2" levelling kit on it with 34's. Almost a year later, I get the message that the front collision sensor was not working and I needed to clean it of obstructions.

After several car washes and several months with this, I took the truck in to the dealership to get it fixed. Not only were they not able to fix this "due to the 2" levelling kit", but when I got the truck back, I had several other messages flashing, including that the driver assist was not working which was working at the time I brought it in.

I took the truck back to try to at least fix the driver assist since I had come to terms with the fact that the front collision could not be fixed due to the 2" levelling kit. However, they were not able to fix that either and blamed it on everything from the levelling kit, to window tint.

The more I think about it, the less I'm convinced that's the answer. I live in Orlando and work in TX, and between the two, I see thousands of F150's with levelling kits and/or window tinting and I can't imaging that there are thousands of people driving around with this problem.

Has anyone experienced this and how did you go about fixing it? Is it worth speaking to a manager at the dealership? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hey there. Could you send over a message with your VIN and the name/location of the Ford dealer you have been working with? I would like to take a closer look at your pre collision concerns.
Not sure if you will see this or be able to help.
I am having an issue with my truck also. Pre collision assist error and no cruise, lane centering, etc.
I added a 2" leveling kit and when they 're calibrated' the cameras the error started and now they cannot get it to go away or work at all.
They said they have exhausted all their options and cannot fix it. I am hoping you have a solution or have found options here?
Thank you

Hey Hyfly11!

I only posted a few hours before you so I'm still waiting to hear from the forum on options. I've heard the cruise control bit from others as well, though luckily mine is still working. It definitely sounds like there is a fix to this, it's just that our dealers don't know how to fix it. I read that somebody simply took their truck to another dealer that was able to resolve the issue. Stay tuned!

I had this same exact issue, was unable to calibrate with either FDRS or Forscan after having my windshield replaced (2" level). A facebook group member suggested that I measure and update the wheel arch height in the IPMA module and the moment I did that I was able to run the calibration successfully and clear all the messages.

You can recalibrate the IPMA with FORScan. Get yourself an adapter:

https://www.amazon.com/Vgate-vLinke...-2-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&psc=1

or this is the one officially recommended by FORScan:

https://www.amazon.com/OBDLink-EX-F...57715240&sprefix=forscan+cable,aps,150&sr=8-8

FORScan itself if free for a 2 month license or $20 for a year long license. Worth every penny and a must-have IMO for any Ford owner.

I think we have it fixed but the only solution was to put oem tires back on and they replaced the pcm again and it’s been 5000 miles now and no issue- so far.. prior to this we got 2400 miles before it wigged out. It seems there’s not much room for Calibration -Ford isn’t allowing them to adjust in Forscan.. I guess so I think there’s going to be a lot of trucks ending up with the same issue unfortunately-
