Hi all, I have a 23' Powerboost and there has been an issue with the pre collision assist message every time I turn on the truck. I've taken it into Ford several times and they've already sent back for my 3rd or 4th IPMA and they still cannot fix it. They said there are a few others with the same problem but their Engineers have not been able to find the solution.

I have Forscan and when I try to go into it to find an error, there are no diagnosed errors which is different than most other videos that I've seen with this problem. Since there is an existing error they can fix.

I'm wondering if there are a few others that have done this and that's why they cannot solve it. I did break one of my tail lights and replace it with one I bought off ebay. I did not want to buy Fords $1k light replacement and was unaware that I needed to keep the BLIS module and swap it when replacing the new light. I learned that you need to sync the BLIS module to your vehicles VIN number but I'm having issues doing so. Does anybody have a good spreadsheet on doing this? I think that I might have to have some sort of error when plugging into my car but there is none so I'm stumped.

I'm fairly new to Forscan still so if anybody has a good video or tutorial I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

I don’t have a PB nor do I have a pre collision button. Not sure what that button is. My pre collision is a front camera on windshield. Not real sure tail light has to do with pre collision. Post a pic of the button you are referring too

Hey there. Could you send over a message with your VIN and the name/location of the Ford dealer you have been working with? I would like to take a closer look at your pre collision concerns.

sorry, I didn't mean button but the pre collision assist message, I just changed it. They've tried to order new IPMA's and take it to their Engineers but cannot reset it

Just out of curiosity have you tried disconnecting battery for about 15 min? Don’t know if that would work but worth a shot. Jessie at infotainment who responded to you is very smart on this stuff. See if he can help you out

I was getting that alert intermittently and my issue was the forward facing camera up at the center of the windshield wasn’t communicating so the dealer replaced it under warranty and I have not had any issues since

I don't have a PB and mine is a 24' XLT 302A, but one of the reasons mine is in the shop is because of this. On the way home from dealership (ink on loan not even dry) pre-collision popped up and turned off adaptive cruise. Had 60 miles at the time. They are currently replacing all the sensors. After that will calibrate the system and 360 cams.

Here's the interesting thing. My rental just started the same issue. Pre-collision light on as I speak. Called dealership and service manager said ..... Sob!

I disabled this "feature" on my truck as it would activate the brakes and slow the truck by 25+ mph when a vehicle in the next lane would slow to exit the freeway. I do not watch my cell phone while driving and prefer to keep my eyes on the road and I do not tailgate. No need for collision assist for my driving safety although I can understand why it is important for other drivers.

i have a 2022 powerboost and i have the same problem, dash showes pre collision not available when i start it and i took it to ford dealer and they tried to fix it, and they said the could not get the pre collision to not show up on the dash, i dont know what they did and they said it was because i lifted my truck and installed aftermarket bumpers well i paid for 1/2 of the bill and it was listed on the history at ford dealer, BUT they sell aftermarket bumpers add i think or ? and my bumpers are fab fours vengence and a BDS 4" lift kit w/fox coilover adjustable factory race series ? so i drive away from the ford dealer and now on the dash it reads sensor not aligned and so i drove around 20 or so miles and came home ate lunch, started truck and NO pre collision on the dash so i thought it was fixed, the next day i drove and some one cut me off and the NO PRE COLLISION came back on and i had to press the OK to remove it, i rembered that happened the first time that i was cut off, so how do i get it fixed correctly , ford motor company please help me thank you very much

Our pre-collision assist is issue is still ongoing. Vehicle is in the shop for the 3rd time. The normal cruise won't work either. Intermittent driver window issue that software upgrade did not fix. Just received a message from service advisor stating that tire size is the issue. We swapped tires from a 2024 f150STX that had 20 inch- Our truck had 18's - Dealer that sold it to us - said it was no issue to do- 650 miles later issue error starts- then finally repaired-with a recalibrate due to waiting for parts, then approx 160 miles later same issue- part replaced as faulty- then 1250 miles later -same issue- truck in shop now. email yesterday now tells us we can't put a bigger tire on- This will be big news for all the aftermarket people for tires and lifts - as i find this to be an absurd answer. I believe the software is corrupt withe the blue cruise -adaptive cruise etc.. Ford accessory guy says no problem to recalibrate- This is the 3 attempt. Anyone else with adaptive cruise /cruise control or heard this tire size problem? This purchase was in June and service guy says maybe go back to dealer we bought it to see if he has the tires he took off it that we traded ??? This seems ridiculous to me. Both were stock tires 2024 f150 XLT and 2024 F150 STX . Thanks for any input
