Twice now driving down rural roads my collision alarm has sounded with no vehicles in front of me or coming at me. Yesterday it happened @ 4:30 pm driving west approaching a traffic light. I am like yelling at the screen that there is no vehicles in front of me. It might be a low in the western sky sun and shade issue?

We have a stationary building (one story grey in color, minimal windows)in town that was setting off the 2012 edge, and occasionally the 22 f150. If we are heading north .it's on a very slight curve about 60 feet off the road
Sun angles, glare, dust all effect the sensors.
All our roads are 2 lane state highways or less and all are dusty and most heavily wooded on each side
I get the front sensors like I am parking or to close,, at red-light alot. In late afternoon with glare bouncing off everything
I chock it up as dust and glare.
One errant dead bug in camera view can also screw with it. We get lots of dead bugs April to October..
Cleaning the windshield usually clears it up.

Hello, I would be happy to look into things further on my end regarding your alarm alert issue. Could you please send us over a message with you VIN and estimated mileage?

I have get that sometimes in the afternoon on a corner with cars parked. The service guy thought it was a glare issue causing it. It’s only at late afternoon I get it.

I turned down the setting to the middle option. It used to freak out in a drive thru with car 20 ft in front of me. Now it is quiet.

I got one yesterday, was driving on a 4 lane undivided city street. A large dump truck was going in the opposite direction. We were both in the center lanes. Both of us were well within our respective lanes. It almost made a trip home to change the pants necessary.
