6.4.0 Update

After receiving 6.4.0, I just another one for 2.7.4. Anyone know what’s going on?

2.7 4 is not a problem, it installed on my truck this past Tuesday. It's a very small update to the BCM "body control module". It consists of 1 file 900 kb. Although the trucks screen said it requires up to 45 minutes to install. When checked in PTS the following morning it actually installed in 8 minutes. Just make sure your battery SOC is at 80% or greater and it will install without a problem.

My latest update was 6.2.0 and just today got the same 2.7.4 update warning.

Me too. I have 6.1.0 and just got 2.7.4. Still waiting on 6.2, 6.3, 6.4 etc.

I just got the 2.7.4 BCM update a few days ago. But not 6.x.x yet.

Checked the software update screen on my way home and it was downloading. Checked FordPass a few minutes ago and it installed. I guess 6.5.0 is on its way next.

Truck says it is downloading 6.4.0 now.
Snail speed AT&T will take a while.
Never had 6.3.0 so maybe that will come later? ?

I got 6.3.0 last night on my way home from work, Installed without a problem. When I went out to lunch today, as I turned off the truck it popped a message that an update will be installed at my scheduled time. Maybe it's 6.4.0 not sure, I'll find out at 9:00.

Well, I sat in truck for about 10 minutes when I got home watching truck connect and disconnect from WiFi, not using it at all as expected looking at my router. Never got prompt to install it so I'm assuming it still has more to download later.

Did get prompt to check my rear seats when I shut truck off so I think it downloaded old asbuilt data. ?
I'll find out after this installs.

6.3.0 will install while you're driving. you will not get a prompt asking you to install it.

This thread is about 6.4.0
I set automatic update time to 30 minutes after I got out of truck. No alert at all from FordPass but open app go to updates and it's listed as installed in update history.

I'll see what Ford OTA decides to send next since apparently numerical order isn't important with these.

@fordtruckman2003. Yes, I realized we were on the 6.4.0 thread. But, You had mentioned that you hadn't received 6.3.0 yet in the previous post. Lol, I started thinking maybe he's getting 6.3.0? I'm concerned, that Ford might have just messed up you're truck. Like they did mine back in 2021 when they stalled me out with 1.7.1. In all of my reading here I've never seen anyone mention that they received one of the numeric series updates out of sequence. But then again what do I know. ?‍

I think TCU before APIM is okay but I don't know either. ?‍
