6.4.0 Update

@fordtruckman2003. Yes, I realized we were on the 6.4.0 thread. But, You had mentioned that you hadn't received 6.3.0 yet in the previous post. Lol, I started thinking maybe he's getting 6.3.0? I'm concerned, that Ford might have just messed up you're truck. Like they did mine back in 2021 when they stalled me out with 1.7.1. In all of my reading here I've never seen anyone mention that they received one of the numeric series updates out of sequence. But then again what do I know. ?‍

Well, looking at truck tonight I now have same sync version listed as 6.3.0 without ever getting 6.3.0 sent to me.

I sent my VIN to our PTS expert because I'm curious WTF happened. I know my sync screen hasn't changed since 4.3.6 and I know my last update was 6.2.0 in October.

Turns out 6.3.0 on 11/30 without any notification anywhere and 6.4.0 on 12/1.
That explains why the rear seat occupancy alert turned on again.

Yup, 6.3 0 was a very stealthy install as ota's go, on my truck as well. I never received an in truck notification that the install happened, had I not checked updates in the truck, I also probably would have not known I got 6.3.0 either. I'm glad to hear you got it though. And when rugedraw checks, I'm certain he'll report back that your install was clean.

12/1 6.4.0 Only know because I had checked on way home seeing cell service turn off and on multiple times on APIM and saw it said downloading.

Thanks, that helps explain why mine seemed to jump straight to 6.5.0 and 2.7.4. Confirmed sync is running 23291.

Most my drive to work cellular was off for some reason.
Really makes navigation useless, and I have the older built in GPS. It was updating with street names but stayed zoomed out.

For whatever reason even when cellular came back it's not communicating with the cloud. Still shows truck location at my house with the fuel level I had at start of day.

Got 6.4.0 today. Didn't get the obnoxious deletion of My View selections, Sirius XM presets, and check back seat surprisingly. New font looks consistent on 12"

I don't get all of this, 6.4.0 was a TCU update, nothing to do with the APIM. How in the world are people seeing different fonts and so forth unless there just not paying close attention after each update.

That was 6.3.0 supposed to change font. Too many threads we are getting them mixed up. Or perhaps their truck did as mine did and ninja installed 6.3.0 and 6.4.0 back to back without notification.

I got an update today but didn't look at what it was. I go on app and it says if you recently received 6.2.0 we just re-released it. So I assume I got 6.2.0. It's on 23 stx

Just received this update this morning on my 22. I’m not sure I noticed it before, but under settings and vehicle there is an option for chimes but there is nothing to select. Also while washing the truck I unlocked the door with the fob but didn’t open the door and noticed the exterior lights wouldn’t turn off. I had to cycle the light switch back to auto to get it to shut off. Anyone getting some glitches from this update?

Not from this update but I did have that happen to me about a month or so ago. I was glad I didn’t go in the house right away otherwise I’d had a dead battery in the morning.

I was thinking the same thing. I locked the door, went in the house to do stuff and 5 minutes later when I went outside the lights were still on. Luckily cycling the light switch fixed it.
