How about a pump gas tune only 3.5 without the hybrid issues??? 11s in the quarter when you want it and a tow monster when you need it??

Granted...I am gonna take a close look at the power boost when the wife needs a new truck..

I miss the torque of turbocharging Everytime I drive my f350 with a 6.2

My PB's payload is over 1700, but keep the roasts coming as they are hilarious.

Get the 5.0 if you want loud and slow.

Get the Powerboost if you want fast and quiet, they can't deny it.
How did you pull that off? CCC on my XLT is 1587# on a 7350# GVWR. CC, 5.5 bed, 4x4

Hahaha honestly!

7 pages of responses in like 2 days, crazy!

To beat another horse, here's my conclusive researched Ford F150 engine summary:
2.7: great engine
3.5: great engine
PB: great engine/capable system
5.0: great engine

lol!

2021 Lariat 501A Screw 5.5 4x4 PB. Nicely optioned with PPoB, etc. - but with no (IMHO) fluff, such as 20" wheels, sunroof, power running boards, power/step tailgate, FX4, B&O Unleashed, etc.

Payload = 1653

PBs are still stronger and what hybrid issues? The vast majority of “issues” are common nowadays.

I completely agree, and as long as you’re not in a dodge or a Chevy, it’s a bonus.

Ford for the win!

Since this thread has dissolved into meaningless insults, let me add one

Get the PB if you want the sound of your engine to be faked, delivered through the loudspeakers. Get the 5.0 if you want to hear a real engine.

I know the fake electric whirring sound and the backing up warning beeps, but is the 5500rpm 18psi fire breathing twin turbo sound also faked?
It’s bad enough to see Ford V8’s getting beat on the regular by V6s, but fake sound V6s? Damn.

Looks like they need a better V8 if that’s the case ??‍♂

I have the 20" wheels and bed utility package. No FX4 or other fluff. How much weight would I get back with 18" wheels?

I think there is a catback "poser" exhaust that JC Whitney sells for the 5.0. The system increases, hosepower, mileage and resale value.

My buddy traded in his 2022 5.7 Hemi for the new 3.0 Hurricane. For how hyped up that 3.0 twin turbo is it wasn’t all that. It still wasn’t able to beat my 5.0 and the V8 squarely won every single roll race. It’s sort of embarrassing it takes 22 psi of boost for the Hurricane to match my 5.0 at atmosphere. Almost comical really. The 5.0 really is a powerhouse N/A machine.

At 22 pounds the 5.0 would be making well over 1000 lb ft of torque, the the 3.0 only making 469 lb ft is rather pathetic imo.
