I just received notification from my CarFax but nothing in Ford Pass yet.

Expanded to include us who where not originally on it, 2023-2025 now included. Servicing dealers, or at least mine in SoCal was not notified yet. I suspect about the time we get letters they will be calling out.

Happy to say it doesn't appear that my truck is under the recall, but I did receive the notice from NHTSA by email today, but the recall number was different than the one above.

I just purchased my truck and noticed the recall notice when I logged into my Ford account. I spoke with my dealership, and they told me the parts won’t be available until October. Before any work can begin, they’re required to take pictures and document the mileage, which will be sent to Ford before ordering the parts.

I’m curious — why do they need to take pictures before ordering? I have an appointment Monday for the visual inspection.

My truck started making a squealing noise from the driver's side rear axle last month. Dealer said the axle bolt backed out and caused spline damage. My truck was not included in the original axle recall, so the dealer was unable to order the replacement axle. Then, yesterday, miraculously, the order went through, and now I'm waiting for the parts. For the past three weeks, while it has been at the dealership because they said it was not safe to drive, I have been arguing with them that Ford should cover this instead of my extended warranty, since they claimed it was the same issue that caused the first recall. So frustrating. I am happy now that Ford has owned up to the problem and issued the recall.

Because instead of being proactive and replacing all that are affected it seems like Ford wants to wait until it actually becomes a problem.

lol i was wondering when they did the first recall but had the same part in the new trucks that they were selling ... i traded in my 2022 with nice new axels and they sold me a truck with the defectives ones in it... i am glad i will be able to get them replaced with piece of mind now and not wait for a fallure

Just had this done on my 2022. It's a quick job, maybe 2 hours. Only issue is the availability of parts. Took two months for the axles to come in after initial visit. Now that they are adding 23-25 trucks, I imagine part availability is going to get substantially worse.
